What happened to Bally Sports?
Bally Sports was the former brand for a group of regional sports networks. After its operator emerged from bankruptcy proceedings under the Main Street Sports Group name, the networks were rebranded as FanDuel Sports Network.

For the principal FanDuel Sports Network listings, generally yes. DIRECTV’s satellite lineup, marked effective April 24, 2026, and its DIRECTV via Internet lineup list the same channel numbers for the networks above. The Internet lineup includes a January 8, 2026 effective date along with later 2026 lineup notes.
However, “the same channel number” does not mean identical availability in every market. Your billing ZIP code, county, subscription package, regional-sports rights, and blackout rules can affect what appears in the guide. Occasional games may also be assigned to alternate channels or a different broadcaster.

How to find the exact channel at your address
- Use DIRECTV’s regional sports channel lookup. Enter your billing ZIP code and, if requested, your county. This is more reliable than using a nationwide channel list.
- Open the on-screen guide. Search for “FanDuel Sports” followed by the regional name, such as “FanDuel Sports Midwest” or “FanDuel Sports Detroit.”
- Search for the team or matchup. If you are trying to watch a specific game, search the team name or both teams rather than assuming the game is on the traditional regional network.
- Check package eligibility. A channel can appear in a market’s lineup but remain unavailable under your current subscription.
- Look for a blackout or rights notice. If the network is listed but the game is missing, the issue may be a blackout or a change in the team’s broadcast arrangement rather than the wrong channel number.

The channel number identifies a regional network; it does not permanently identify every team that once used that network. Local sports rights are being reorganized during 2026, and several teams are moving toward arrangements involving:
- league-produced broadcasts, including MLB-produced local broadcasts;
- team-owned or team-controlled channels;
- local over-the-air television stations;
- league or team direct-to-consumer streaming services; and
