Ariana Grande’s August 2025 teaser promised an announcement for the following year, but it did not say what the announcement would be or confirm a continuation of her short film Brighter Days Ahead. A 2026 tour was later announced and has since ended; the film connection was speculation, not a confirmed sequel.
What did Ariana Grande’s “see you next year” teaser say?
On August 27, 2025, Grande posted a cryptic video that ended with the on-screen words “see you next year… announcement loading.” The video used sci-fi imagery and included an automated message: “A corrupt file has been found and corrected.” Its final frames showed four small screens and a woman’s hand. Those lines were text in the video, not statements attributed to a named speaker. NME’s contemporaneous report described the teaser and its imagery.
Was the teaser announcing a continuation of Brighter Days Ahead?
That was one interpretation, not a confirmed announcement. Brighter Days Ahead accompanied the deluxe version of Eternal Sunshine. The short film follows Peaches, an elderly woman who visits Brighter Days Inc. to revisit memories after erasing memories of her former partner. NME tentatively connected the teaser’s imagery to Peaches, but did not report that Grande had confirmed a sequel or continuation. The video itself did not identify the subject of the promised announcement.
Did Ariana Grande announce a 2026 tour?
Yes, though the tour was confirmed later and should not be treated as the teaser’s explicitly stated subject. Live Nation announced The Eternal Sunshine Tour in support of Eternal Sunshine and its deluxe follow-up. The tour ran for 41 dates, according to the Associated Press, and concluded in London on September 1, 2026. Live Nation’s announcement set out the tour, while the Associated Press reported on its finale.

Does she have upcoming tour dates?
As of October 8, 2026, Grande’s official UK tour page lists no upcoming events. The Eternal Sunshine Tour is over, so the teaser should not be used as evidence that another tour is currently scheduled.
What else happened in Grande’s 2026 music plans?
Universal Music Canada announced that Petal, Grande’s eighth studio album, was released on July 31, 2026. The label described The Eternal Sunshine Tour as her first global tour in more than seven years. These later developments provide context for her 2026, but the label did not say that Petal was what the 2025 teaser had promised. Universal Music Canada’s album announcement confirms the release date.
