At the March 7, 2025, SXSW premiere of Another Simple Favor, Anna Kendrick was asked what it meant to work with Blake Lively again. Her reported reply was brief: “Oh, you know.” The answer does not, on its own, reveal what Kendrick privately felt.
What did Anna Kendrick say?
Kendrick answered, “Oh, you know,” when asked, “What does it mean to be working with Blake again?” The exchange was reported at the film’s SXSW premiere in Austin. Yahoo Entertainment’s report, republished from Entertainment Weekly, described Kendrick as moving down the fan line and apparently in a rush. It also said she helped fans position their phones for selfies. That setting may help explain why the exchange was short, but it cannot establish her reason for answering that way.

How did Blake Lively answer a similar question?
Lively was asked about reuniting with Kendrick and replied, “Oh, it’s the best. I’m so happy to be here.” The two reported answers differed in length and tone, but neither establishes what either actor thinks privately about the other.
What had Kendrick said about the reunion before the premiere?
In earlier remarks attributed to an interview with PEOPLE, Kendrick said they do not see each other often because Lively lives on the East Coast and Kendrick on the West Coast. She called the reunion lovely, said the characters have “such weird chemistry,” and described getting the group back together as feeling “a little bit like riding a bike.” The fuller comments give a positive public description of their reunion without changing what can be inferred from the brief premiere exchange.
