Wendy Williams attended her son Kevin Hunter Jr.’s Florida International University graduation in Miami on December 19, 2024. Contemporary reports described it as a rare public appearance and said she arrived using a mobility scooter.
What happened at Kevin Hunter Jr.’s graduation?
Williams was there to support her son at his college graduation, according to event coverage from E! News, TMZ and BET. Reports placed the ceremony in Miami on December 19, 2024. E! News and BET also reported that Williams’s father, Thomas Williams Sr., attended.
What did reports say about her appearance?
Coverage described Williams using a mobility scooter and wearing a sparkly outfit. The descriptions of her clothing differed: E! News called it a jumpsuit, while BET described a dress. The scooter was a detail reported about this occasion, not evidence of her current needs.
What health context is relevant?
E! News reported that Williams had shared diagnoses of primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia in February 2024. In a statement to the outlet about the response to that announcement, Williams said, “Let me say, wow! Your response has been overwhelming.” That statement was not about the graduation.
