Rotten Tomatoes estimated the production budget at $40 million in that February 10 article. That was a reported estimate, not an audited production figure; it should not be treated as a final profit calculation, which would also depend on costs and revenue beyond the domestic box office.
Why did Dog Man stay No. 1?
Its $13.7 million second-weekend gross was enough to keep it ahead of the other films discussed in the Associated Press report, including Heart Eyes and Love Hurts. The result made the film’s repeat win the defining box-office story of that weekend.
