Netflix says Wednesday Season 3 wrapped production on September 30, 2026, but it has not announced a release date. The confirmed news gives fans substantial reasons to look forward to the next chapter: more Addams family members, family secrets, and a slate of new cast members. It does not yet confirm a detailed plot, the newcomers’ roles beyond Eva Green’s, or Paris as a story location.
What is confirmed about Wednesday Season 3?
Netflix’s September 30, 2026 update says production has wrapped and returned to the Dublin area. That is the latest official production status; Netflix previously reported that filming began near Dublin on February 23, 2026. Netflix Tudum’s wrap announcement is the current source for the completion update.
The series remains centered on Jenna Ortega as Wednesday. Netflix’s earlier production-start report also identified Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams and Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams. The February production report announced the start of filming and the first additions to the cast.
Which actors are joining the cast?
Netflix has announced a notably recognizable group of newcomers, although most of their characters have not been disclosed. Eva Green is the exception: Netflix says she plays Aunt Ophelia, Morticia Addams’s sister.

The first group, including Green and Ryder, was reported with the production-start news; Headey, McCarthy and Lance were announced later as guest stars. Netflix’s April 9, 2026 guest-star announcement did not identify the three performers’ roles. Until Netflix does, fan theories about who they will play remain theories.
What do the creators say is coming?
The creators have offered a direction rather than a plot synopsis. Co-creator and showrunner Alfred Gough said, “We want to continue digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore and Wednesday.” Co-creator and co-showrunner Miles Millar added, “We will be seeing more Addams family members and learning more family secrets in Season 3!” Both statements appeared in Netflix’s September 30 update.

In February, the showrunners also teased “new students, new teachers” and “some long-rotting Addams Family secrets.” Together, those comments establish the kind of material the season intends to explore; they do not reveal which family members will appear or how the secrets affect Wednesday’s story.
Is Paris a confirmed setting?
No. Netflix’s wrap report points to a behind-the-scenes image from Paris as a possible clue that the story may extend beyond Nevermore. The report does not confirm Paris as a narrative location, so it is best treated as an intriguing production image rather than a plot fact.

When will Wednesday Season 3 be released?
Netflix had not announced a release date in its September 30, 2026 update. Any specific date or 2027 window reported elsewhere should be treated as a prediction unless Netflix confirms it. Production being wrapped does not, by itself, establish when the finished season will premiere.

The headline promise is fair if it refers to what Netflix has actually announced: an expanded cast, more Addams family members, deeper character exploration and family secrets. It should not be read as confirmation of any particular fan theory, pairing, or role speculation. Netflix also notes that the first season remains its most-viewed English-language series of all time, but the cited update gives no viewing total or measurement period for that claim.
