The post confirms he would not be back for season two, but it does not give a reason for the decision.
Why did Percy Hynes White leave?
In 2023, social-media allegations about Hynes White were reported in connection with his departure. He denied the allegations in a public statement, describing the posts as a “campaign of misinformation,” as The Independent reported. The available reporting does not establish that the allegations caused Netflix’s casting decision, so that connection should not be presented as confirmed.

What happened to Xavier in season 2?
The series gives Xavier an off-screen explanation: he is sent to Reichenbach, a boarding school mentioned in season one. In its August 6, 2025, report on the season-two premiere, TVLine quoted co-showrunner Alfred Gough describing Reichenbach as “like the European version of Nevermore.” Xavier sends Wednesday a painting of a red-eyed raven with a note presented as a goodbye gift.
Asked about the character’s future, Gough said, “we have seen the last of him.”

Who was Xavier Thorpe?
Xavier Thorpe was a student at Nevermore Academy and one of Wednesday Addams’s classmates in season one. Netflix’s Tudum cast guide identifies Hynes White as the actor who played him. In season two, the Reichenbach reference provides the character’s stated destination rather than a return to Nevermore.
