The headline refers to a cast interview about MGM+’s six-episode mystery miniseries Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue, not a film. Its reported angle is the actors’ decision not to find out who the killer was—even though they had some scripts in advance. Peter Gadiot plays Carlos, and David Ajala plays Zack.
What is Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue about?
Nine passengers survive a light-aircraft crash in the Mexican jungle. Their struggle to survive becomes a murder mystery when they begin dying in mysterious and violent circumstances. That ensemble survival premise gives the series its central question: which of the stranded passengers, if any, can be trusted?
Gadiot plays Carlos, while Ajala plays Zack. The CBR interview published March 9, 2025, focuses on those actors and the secrets surrounding the show’s mystery. Its available summary reports that the cast had some scripts but chose not to learn the murderer’s identity. That distinction matters: having pages to prepare a role did not mean choosing to know the story’s ultimate answer.
Did the actors know who the killer was?
According to CBR’s interview summary, Gadiot and Ajala avoided learning the identity of the murderer, despite having some scripts in advance. That makes their approach to the mystery the clearest reported insight from the interview: they preserved uncertainty about the central twist rather than reading ahead for the solution.

The accessible interview material does not establish exactly which scripts either actor received, how much of the plot they knew, or what each said about the decision. It also does not provide a verifiable full quotation from either actor. The headline phrase “We Must Live in Hope” should therefore be treated as headline wording, not attributed here as a confirmed verbatim quote.
