For two shows, the records cited here provide too little card detail to justify precise match-by-match judgments, so their placements are deliberately cautious.

Halloween Havoc
Goldberg defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Diamond Dallas Page gives this card its clearest case for the top spot: a major title match with a strong championship payoff. Goldberg won in a match listed at 10:29 on the WCW event archive. The card also included Hulk Hogan versus The Ultimate Warrior, adding another marquee storyline to the night. The ranking reflects those concentrated stakes, not a claim that every match was equally strong.

Starrcade
The year ended with a consequential title change: Kevin Nash defeated Goldberg for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. The official event page lists their match at 11:20 and reports attendance of 16,066 at the MCI Center and a 1.15 buyrate; those are event-page figures, not independently audited measurements, and the buyrate should not be converted into a number of buys. The card also featured Diamond Dallas Page defeating The Giant and Eric Bischoff defeating Ric Flair. Randy Savage defeated Sting to win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, a substantial shift at the top of the promotion. Slamboree
Slamboree made room for more than one consequential title story. Dean Malenko won the cruiserweight battle royal and then defeated Chris Jericho for the Cruiserweight Championship. Sting and The Giant also took the tag titles from the Outsiders. Multiple changes across different divisions give the card useful variety and make it a strong mid-to-upper choice. SuperBrawl VIII belongs in the annual ranking, but the available event-specific results here do not establish enough of its card to support a detailed comparison. The Great American Bash
This card combined a Sting–Giant match with TV-title stakes: Booker T defeated Fit Finlay for the championship. Booker T and Chris Benoit also met on the card, adding another meaningful undercard pairing. That mix makes a middle-to-upper placement plausible, though its exact position depends on how much weight a viewer gives to the matches themselves versus the recorded results.
