Other watches linked to him tell different stories: an Omega presented for a record milestone, watches he gave to friends, and a Rolex King Midas commemorating his 1970 Houston performances. The surviving records document notable examples, not a complete inventory of every watch he owned.
Which watches are documented, and what connects them to Elvis?
| Watch | Connection to Elvis | Record or provenance reported by |
|---|---|---|
| Hamilton Ventura | Worn in Blue Hawaii (1961) | Hamilton Watch; film appearance and model history |
| 18K white-gold Omega, ref. H6582/D96043 | Presented by RCA in connection with a 75-million-record milestone | Elvis Presley Museum and Swatch Group; 2018 sale reporting |
| Gold-capped Omega Constellation | Reportedly worn during Army service in Germany and later given to Charlie Hodge | Fratello; 2012 Antiquorum sale |
| 18K yellow-gold Corum Buckingham | Reportedly given to Richard Davis | Fratello; 2016 Antiquorum sale |
| Rolex King Midas no. 343 | Presented after six sold-out Houston Astrodome performances in 1970 | Phillips catalogue; displayed at Graceland, according to Phillips |
| 14K gold-filled Lord Elgin | Attributed to Elvis’s early stage years and reportedly given to Scotty Moore | Elvis Presley Museum provenance account |
The records vary in kind. Hamilton documents the Ventura model and its film connection; Phillips describes the King Midas presentation; museum accounts make provenance claims about the Lord Elgin and the milestone Omega; and Fratello reports on the Constellation and Corum gifts and their later sales. Those distinctions matter: a documented model, an institutional catalogue entry, a museum’s provenance account and secondary reporting are not identical forms of evidence.
What watch did Elvis wear in Blue Hawaii?
Hamilton Ventura
It was a Hamilton Ventura, recognized by its distinctive triangular case. Hamilton says it launched the Ventura in 1957 as the world’s first electric watch, four years before the film’s 1961 release. The model’s unusual shape made it an instantly recognizable part of Elvis’s screen wardrobe, and Hamilton continues to sell Ventura models. The manufacturer’s historical account supports the launch and film association; it does not establish that every Ventura shown in later Elvis imagery is the same individual watch.
What was Elvis’s most expensive watch?
The Tiffany-signed Omega sale
The highest reported auction figure among the watches covered here is for a 1960 Omega in 18K white gold, reference H6582/D96043. The Elvis Presley Museum reports a CHF1,812,500 result on its 2018 record-sale page. Swatch Group reports CHF1,500,000 before buyer’s premium at Phillips’ Geneva Watch Auction: Seven in 2018. These figures describe the same sale at different stages: the Swatch Group amount is before premium, while the museum gives the reported result including the premium. Neither amount should be treated as a current valuation.

- Sun Records wall clock featuring Elvis with his pink car
- Size: 11.75" diameter
- Licensed and Collectible
- Perfect gift for the ultimate Elvis fan
- Requires 1 AA battery (not included)
The watch has a diamond-set bezel, a Tiffany & Co.-signed dial and a manually wound calibre 510. According to the Elvis Presley Museum, RCA presented it to Elvis in connection with the 75-million-record milestone. The museum’s provenance account and Swatch Group’s auction-result report support different parts of the story: the former records the gift attribution and reported total, while the latter documents the pre-premium sale figure.
That makes this Omega the most expensive example in the documented group here, not proof that it was the costliest watch Elvis ever owned. No complete inventory of all his watches is established by the records cited here.

Did Elvis own a Rolex King Midas?
The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo presentation
Phillips documents King Midas no. 343 as a gift from Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo officers following six sold-out Astrodome performances in 1970. Phillips says the watch remains on display at Graceland. The presentation links the watch to a specific run of concerts, rather than to Elvis’s film wardrobe or an auction sale.
Phillips’ catalogue description is the cited basis for the gift history and display account. It establishes this particular King Midas’s association with Elvis; it is not evidence that he owned every watch in the King Midas line.

Which watches did Elvis give to friends?
Omega Constellation for Charlie Hodge
Fratello reports that Elvis wore a gold-capped Omega Constellation with a black dial and chronometer designation while stationed in Germany from 1958 to 1960, then gave it to friend and fellow performer Charlie Hodge. Antiquorum sold the watch for $52,500 in 2012, according to Fratello. The service-era association and gift are reported provenance; the later sale supplies a separate point in the watch’s history.
Corum Buckingham for Richard Davis
Fratello describes an 18K solid-yellow-gold Corum Buckingham, engraved and given by Elvis to Richard Davis. Antiquorum sold it for $22,500 in 2016, as reported by Fratello. Its inscription and reported gifting chain distinguish this personal-gift story from the Omega Constellation’s Army-era association.

Lord Elgin for Scotty Moore
The Elvis Presley Museum attributes a 14K gold-filled Lord Elgin to Elvis’s 1955–1956 stage period, including his January 28, 1956 appearance on the Dorsey Brothers’ Stage Show. The museum says Elvis gave it to guitarist Scotty Moore on April 25, 1956. This account places the watch near the beginning of Elvis’s national television breakthrough; the gift date and stage history are museum provenance claims, rather than details independently established here by an auction record.

There is no single complete, independently established inventory in the sources cited here. Fratello presents its watch list as selective, and the Elvis Presley Museum’s pages express that institution’s provenance claims. Photographs or unattributed references to other models may point to additional watches, but by themselves do not establish a model, ownership, or gifting history. For any particular watch, the strength of the case depends on the evidence attached to it—such as photographs, engravings, certificates, institutional records and a traceable chain of ownership.
