Yes. Warner Bros. said the first final release of Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part Three inadvertently retained temporary Joker voice-over in an Earth-12 scene. The corrected version restores Mark Hamill’s intended performance. Warner Bros. said digital copies were corrected and replaced in users’ accounts; physical-disc buyers could request replacement discs, which an archive records as issued in December 2024.
What was wrong with the first release?
The issue was an audio error, not a change to the story. In a statement reported by Gizmodo’s io9 on August 12, 2024, Warner Bros. said: “Due to a manufacturing issue, a temporary voice over was inadvertently left in the final version of Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part Three, affecting the character of the Joker.”
The affected character is the Earth-12 Joker. Warner Bros.’ release materials credit Mark Hamill for the role, and the corrected audio restores his intended voice work. The scene pairs the Earth-12 Batman and Joker with the late Kevin Conroy and Hamill, recalling their Batman: The Animated Series characters.

Digital versions
Warner Bros. said digital versions were proactively corrected and that the incorrect version was replaced in users’ accounts. Apple TV’s current US catalog lists Hamill as the Earth-12 Joker, but its listing does not identify which audio master a particular viewer receives.

Blu-ray and 4K UHD
For physical copies, io9 reported that purchasers could contact the retailer from which they bought the film to request a corrected disc. The World’s Finest archive says Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment issued corrected replacement discs in December 2024 to Blu-ray and 4K UHD purchasers who requested them. That documents a replacement process; it does not establish that every existing disc—or every disc now offered for sale—has corrected audio.
How to check which version you have
- Digital: Warner Bros. said the corrected version replaced the incorrect one in users’ accounts. The available catalog information does not confirm the audio master for an individual account or playback.
- Physical disc: Check whether your copy was a replacement disc requested through the correction process. A format label or retailer listing alone does not verify the audio version.
- Considering a purchase: Ask the seller to confirm the audio on the specific copy. Current retailer stock and individual disc status are not established by the available information.
