Wang Bing’s Jiabiangou and Vitaly Mansky’s Odesa.Mama are among the 47 projects selected for IDFA Forum 2026. The professional documentary and new-media market takes place November 15–18, 2026, in Amsterdam.
Which projects by Wang Bing and Vitaly Mansky are in the selection?
IDFA’s 2026 Forum catalogue confirms a selection of 47 projects. Trade coverage of the announcement identifies two projects by the named filmmakers:
- Jiabiangou, directed by Wang Bing. Reported production credits are Mao Hui of CS Productions, Sonia Buchman of Gladys Glover Films, and Nicolas R. De La Mothe of Gladys Glover Films.
- Odesa.Mama, directed by Vitaly Mansky. Filip Remunda is reported as its producer.
The available announcement coverage does not establish project synopses, production stages, or specific financing needs. The titles alone are not a reliable basis for describing either film’s subject.
What is IDFA Forum, and when does it take place?
IDFA Forum is an industry market, distinct from the festival’s public film programme. It connects selected documentary and new-media project teams with potential financing, co-production, distribution, exhibition, and other industry partners. The 2026 edition is scheduled for November 15–18.

Selection means these projects are part of a professional market programme; it does not, by itself, announce a public screening, completed film, release date, or distribution deal. The reported credits identify some producers, but the announcement coverage does not detail the projects’ current stages or the collaborations and financing each team seeks.
