Walton Goggins appeared with Mel Gibson in Forever Young, a 1992 science-fiction romance directed by Steve Miner. Goggins has a small role as Gate MP, and the American Film Institute identifies it as his feature-film debut. The film is about a test pilot frozen in 1939 who wakes in 1992—not a conventional time-machine journey.
What is Forever Young about?
Mel Gibson plays Daniel McCormick, a test pilot whose life is interrupted by a top-secret cryogenic experiment. Frozen in 1939, he awakens decades later in 1992 and faces the consequences of having left his old life behind. Apple TV frames the film as a romantic action-adventure; its central premise links the science-fiction device to Daniel’s lost love and the unfamiliar world he encounters.
