Walmart’s $228 price for a Vizio 65-inch Class Smart TV was reported on December 1, 2025, as a Cyber Monday deal carried over from Black Friday. It is a historical offer, not a price verified as available now. The report did not identify the TV’s model number, so its specifications cannot be reliably confirmed.

Is the $228 offer still available?
There is no verified evidence that Walmart still sells this TV for $228. The reported promotion was for Cyber Monday 2025, which fell on December 1, 2025. A product page or search result that remains online may show an expired price or an out-of-stock listing. Check Walmart’s live checkout price, stock, seller, condition, delivery or pickup charges, and return terms before buying.
Which Vizio model was it?
The deal report called it a “Vizio 65-Inch Class Smart TV” but did not give a model number. That makes it impossible to establish whether the discounted set was 4K or 1080p, what kind of backlight it used, its native refresh rate or HDR formats, or how many HDMI ports it had. The report also does not establish its dimensions, VESA pattern, included accessories, or model-specific warranty.

Vizio’s 65-inch range includes distinct 4K DLED, full-array LED, Quantum, and Mini LED models. Their names and capabilities are not interchangeable. For example, Vizio’s V4K65X-0804 page lists 3,840 × 2,160 resolution, HDR support, a 60Hz refresh rate, and HDMI VRR for that model specifically; its VQM65C-1004 Mini LED page lists 180 active LED zones and a 60Hz refresh rate. Neither set of specifications can be attributed to the 2025 Walmart deal TV without a matching model number. Other official listings include the V4K65X-0810 and VQD65R-1004 Quantum.
Before relying on any specification, match the model number on the Walmart listing to the box, receipt, or product label. A screen size and brand name alone are not enough to identify the hardware.
What features did the deal report claim?
Android Headlines said the television ran Vizio’s smart-TV operating system and included apps such as Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max, and Apple TV+. It also reported Apple AirPlay 2, Google Cast, subscription management through a dedicated menu, and a smart remote. These are claims about the deal listing as described in that article, not independently confirmed specifications for an identified model. App availability and software features can vary by model and over time.

Was $228 a good price?
As a reported price for a 65-inch smart TV, $228 was notably low. Whether it was a good buy depends on the unidentified model, its condition, and the buyer’s needs. The cited report was a deal post, not a lab review; it does not establish picture quality, brightness, sound, motion handling, response time, or long-term reliability.

It could suit
- Buyers prioritizing a large screen and low upfront cost for streaming or casual viewing.
- A bedroom, dorm, guest room, or other secondary viewing area.
- Households that are comfortable using an external streaming device if the built-in platform does not meet their needs.
Look elsewhere if
- You need strong HDR performance or high brightness for a bright room.
- You want 4K at 120Hz, VRR, or other specific features for a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X; confirm each feature on the exact model rather than assuming it is present.
- You care about sports motion handling, smart-platform longevity, or a clearly documented model-specific warranty and cannot verify them for the unit.
What to check before buying a similar listing
- Identify the model: Find the complete model number on the product page and confirm that it matches the packaging or product label.
- Confirm the hardware: Check resolution, refresh rate, HDR formats, backlight type, and any local-dimming details against the manufacturer’s page for that exact model.
- Match gaming features to your console: Verify HDMI version, 4K/120Hz support, VRR, auto low-latency mode, and independent input-lag measurements if those matter to you.
- Check the listing itself: Confirm whether the unit is new, refurbished, or open-box; who sells and ships it; and what remote, stand, or other accessories are included.
- Review the total purchase terms: Check the current checkout price, delivery or pickup costs, return window, and warranty provider and duration.
- Consider ownership costs: Account for a wall mount, installation, a soundbar, or an external streaming device only if the exact TV’s included equipment and features leave a gap you need to fill.
Vizio’s three-year warranty policy describes eligibility for certain purchases from wholesale retailers and cautions that it may not apply to every product. Do not assume it covers a Walmart unit; check the warranty terms for the exact model and seller.
Verdict
The $228 price was a compelling historical deal on screen size, but the missing model number prevents a firm assessment of the TV’s specifications, and current availability is unverified. Treat it as a past Cyber Monday offer—not a live recommendation—and judge any similar listing by its exact SKU, condition, seller, return terms, and warranty.
