The 2025 metropolitan WA Day Festival brought two days of free music and family entertainment to Burswood Park on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November. Its all-Western Australian music lineup sat alongside rides, cultural storytelling, sport, BMX demonstrations, food and fireworks. Celebrate WA later reported 100,000 attendees at the metro event.
Where and when was the 2025 WA Day Festival?
The metropolitan festival took place at Burswood Park on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November 2025. Entry was free. Celebrate WA describes WA Day as a celebration of Western Australia’s people, histories, cultures and communities; Foundation Day officially became WA Day in 2012. The metro festival was distinct from the regional celebrations held elsewhere in the State.
The published event map listed these hours:
| Day | Published hours | Advertised evening program |
|---|---|---|
| Saturday 22 November | 10am–9:30pm | Drone show at 8:20pm, fireworks at 8:35pm; Drapht listed at 8:45pm |
| Sunday 23 November | 10am–8:30pm | Jebediah listed at 7pm; fireworks at 8pm |
These are timings on the published map, not independently verified start times. The map placed Stadium train station about 750 metres from the festival and encouraged visitors to use free public transport. It also marked road closures and an ACROD viewing area. The available information does not establish parking availability, train or bus service changes, or detailed accessible routes.
Who performed?
The WA Government described the concert as an all-Western Australian lineup. Across the two days, the announced acts included Drapht, Jebediah, Little Birdy, South Summit, Voyager, OrchXtra featuring Lucy Durack and Justin Burford, Smol Fish, Mariae Cassandra, Flewnt, Boox Kid, Ullah and Dolce Blue.

How many people attended?
Celebrate WA’s 2025–26 annual report counted 100,000 attendees at the 22–23 November metro festival. It separately reported more than 21,000 attendees across five regional WA Day celebrations. Its figure of more than 100 local food trucks and vendors applies across celebrations throughout the State, not just Burswood Park.
The same annual report said 96% of metro survey respondents reported a positive experience, while 89% said they felt welcome and included. Celebrate WA did not provide the survey sample size or methodology in the reported figures, so these percentages describe respondents rather than all festival attendees.
