What was known about the case in the 2025 report
AOL’s February 21, 2025 report by Raechal Shewfelt described Christopher Wallace’s killing as unsolved at the time of publication. It said he was killed in a drive-by shooting after leaving the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. That is a dated description, not confirmation of the case’s status today.
Wallace’s efforts to preserve her son’s legacy
The AOL report also noted that Voletta Wallace appeared in the 2021 Netflix documentary Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell while promoting it. It said she worked to preserve her son’s legacy through a memoir and public appearances, but did not identify the memoir by title.
