What did Veruca Salt say in response?
In a follow-up video, Salt argued that strangers could not understand what she was going through or assume that there was one appropriate way for her to act. PerthNow reported her reply to the commenter as: “You have no idea because your baby is not dead, mine is and I found him like that and it’s not happening to you.” This is wording reproduced by the outlet, not an independently authenticated transcript (PerthNow).
Her reported explanation was that going to bed or returning home could make her distress worse because her baby was no longer there. The response challenged the commenter’s assumption that staying in bed was the only understandable way to grieve; it did not suggest that any one response to bereavement is right for everyone.

What was reported about her son’s death?
Reports published 7–9 February 2024 identified the baby as Cash and described him as six weeks old. E! News gave his full name as Cash Harrison Stirling and reported that he died in his sleep on 5 February 2024. Those reports describe the circumstances as reported at the time; they do not establish a cause of death (E! News; PerthNow).
In an Instagram statement quoted by E! News, Salt said: “I don’t know what happened, he is having an autopsy this week but it is unlikely that I’ll ever have an answer.” The report attributed the investigation status to police at that time. The cited coverage does not provide a confirmed cause of death or final investigative finding, so speculation and online accusations should not be treated as fact (E! News; PerthNow).
