The credits scenes keep Knull and the possibility of surviving symbiote material in play; neither confirms Venom’s return.
What happens to Venom at the end of The Last Dance?
Eddie and Venom are hunted by government forces and by Xenophages sent by Knull. The danger centers on the Codex connected to Eddie and Venom: Knull needs it to escape his prison.
At the climax, Venom separates from Eddie and draws the Xenophages into the acid tanks at Area 55. Venom is apparently destroyed along with them. His sacrifice removes the immediate route to Knull’s release, while Eddie survives without the symbiote who had become his closest friend. The ending is both a rescue and a loss: Eddie lives, but Venom appears to be gone.
Sony’s official film page describes Eddie and Venom as “forced into a devastating decision” and identifies the movie as the final installment in their trilogy. Writer-director Kelly Marcel told GameSpot that the filmmakers had planned the story as a three-film arc: “We always saw it as a three-story arc, and we always knew where it was going to end.”

Does Eddie die?
No. Eddie survives the final confrontation. The emotional consequence is his separation from Venom, not Eddie’s death.
Does Knull escape?
No. Knull remains imprisoned at the end of the main story. Venom’s apparent sacrifice stops the Xenophages from delivering the Codex to him, so the film ends without showing Knull break free.

What do the post-credits scenes mean?
Mid-credits: Knull is still a threat
Knull remains in his prison and addresses the audience with a threat that the protector is gone. The scene signals that he could matter in future stories, but it does not show him escaping. Marcel described the film as an introduction to the character; in a GameSpot interview, she called him “an incredibly massive character” and said the movie was “very much an introduction.” She also told Den of Geek that the film was “just a little taster” and discussed plans for future Knull movies. Those comments describe creative intentions at the time of the interviews; they do not guarantee that a particular project will be made.
End of credits: a possible symbiote remnant
The bartender survives the destruction at Area 55. A cockroach approaches a broken vial that held a symbiote sample. As TIME and Den of Geek explain, the image leaves room for symbiote material to have survived. It does not establish that the sample is Venom, that Venom is conscious, or that he will reunite with Eddie. A definite return is speculation, not a reveal in the scene.

Does the ending confirm another Venom film?
No. The ending and credits scenes leave possibilities open, especially around Knull and the vial, but they do not confirm a sequel, Venom’s return, or a reunion with Eddie. The clear endpoint is the conclusion of Eddie and Venom’s three-film story as the filmmakers described it; the post-credits teases are not promises of what comes next.
