Van Jones has welcomed a baby boy with his friend Noemi Zamacona, PEOPLE reported on May 17, 2024. The child is Jones’s fourth and his second with Zamacona. The report did not identify the baby by name or provide an exact birth date.
What Van Jones announced
In a statement to PEOPLE, Jones wrote: “God is so good! This year, He blessed me and Noemi with kid #2 — a healthy, happy, beautiful baby boy.”
Jones also described the reaction of their older child: “Our daughter loves him so much — maybe a little TOO much. (She kisses him like Woody Woodpecker, and he barely survives her hugs!)” He added, “Our modern family is thriving, blessings are flowing and we appreciate all the love and support.”
His second child with Noemi Zamacona
The 2024 announcement makes the newborn Jones’s second child with Zamacona. They previously announced the birth of a daughter in February 2022.

Jones has two sons with his former wife, Jana Carter. Together, those children and his two children with Zamacona account for his fourth-child total, as described in the PEOPLE report.
What “conscious co-parents” means in their family
When Jones and Zamacona announced their daughter in 2022, Jones said they had decided to “join forces and become conscious co-parents.” He described the arrangement as a partnership focused on raising their child, and referred to Zamacona as his friend. The public statements do not describe them as a romantic couple.
