Valerie Lepelch has described videos reaching a million views within hours, a gradual move away from POV acting, and the uncertainty behind choosing creator work over college. But the interview that tells those stories does not answer the title’s hypothetical: Lepelch does not say what career she would choose if she were not a content creator. She has mentioned a possible podcast and acting in commercials, but neither is presented as an alternative career plan.
How Lepelch says her videos first went viral
In a February 2026 interview with David Adler for Net Influencer, Lepelch recalled that her third or fourth TikTok video reached one million views in ten hours. “My third or fourth video got a million views in 10 hours,” she said.
The attention was not all welcome. Lepelch recalled classmates laughing at her in the school lunchroom. She did not delete her account; instead, she switched to an anonymous username and kept posting. These view counts and events are her recollections as reported in the interview, not independently audited platform metrics.
She also described experimenting with YouTube as a child, including a singing-cover account and a DIY One Direction merchandise video that she recalled receiving 3,000 views. During the pandemic, a POV acting skit reached about one million views in its first two hours, she said. Requests for sequels helped her recognize that format as a niche.

Why she moved on from POV acting
By late 2024, Lepelch said, POV acting had lost momentum and felt oversaturated. The format had helped her find an audience, so changing course carried a risk: she worried that her young viewers might not follow her into something new.
Rather than make an abrupt switch, she gradually introduced other videos while still posting some POV content, then reduced it over time. Relatable comedy became a stronger focus, with shareability as a goal. Asked what signal she watches when judging a video, she answered, “Definitely the share button.” That is her own way of reading performance, not a general rule for creators.

The career decision behind the videos
Lepelch said she attended college for about a year before stepping away. In deciding what to do, she weighed the uncertain possibility of social-media income against a conventional job. She also described feeling left behind when friends graduated and continued through college—a personal cost that sits alongside the financial calculation.
“You kind of have to look at it like, okay, if I’m working a 9 to 5 or any other job, you have to just compare and see if you’re able to make enough on social media where you’re going to be able to support yourself.”

Her account is not a simple story of a guaranteed payoff. It describes a choice made under uncertainty, involving income, creative autonomy, and the social pressure of following a more familiar path.
How she approaches creator work as a business
Lepelch said her first brand deal was small, but it made earning from a video feel concrete. She prefers collaborations involving products or services she relates to or actually uses.

On management, she suggested that a creator might consider a manager around 100,000 followers and advised trying a short period before agreeing to a long commitment. Those are her personal suggestions from the interview, not legal advice or a universal follower-count threshold. A short trial can help a creator assess fit before accepting a longer relationship, but the interview does not establish contract terms or outcomes.

She also said on-screen text works better for her than relying on captions, and that nostalgic themes resonate with her audience. The interview presents these as her observations about her own content, rather than prescriptions for other creators.
What she has said about work beyond content creation
Lepelch has said she may want to start a podcast with her best friend, whose conversations already take the form of long voice notes. She has also described commercials as a suitable medium for acting work. Those are interests in possible projects and acting opportunities; she has not said either would be her career if she stopped creating content.
Asked about her present work, she said, “I just love being a content creator and being online.” The interview offers detail about how she got there, the risks she weighed, and the formats she has explored—but no direct answer to what she would do instead.
