Qué se sabe de la pieza dental
Los medios no coinciden en cómo nombrarla. Noticias Caracol y El País la describieron como una dentadura postiza, y también mencionaron una cobertura o carilla provisional; ViveUSA habló de una fila de carillas. Por esa diferencia, lo más preciso es llamarla una pieza dental provisional: las fuentes no establecen que fuera una dentadura completa ni una serie de carillas permanentes.

La explicación atribuida a Chanago
Según Noticias Caracol, Chanago habría contado al medio tailandés Women Kapook que se fracturó un diente frontal superior durante la competencia de traje nacional, días antes del incidente. Como no tenía tiempo para un tratamiento completo antes del certamen, ella y su equipo habrían optado por una solución temporal. El País reproduce una explicación similar y le atribuye esta frase: “No tuve tiempo de realizarme un tratamiento dental completo que arreglara mi sonrisa de manera permanente para el día de la competencia”.
La frase en español fue publicada por una fuente secundaria; no se comprobó aquí el audio ni el texto original de la entrevista. La explicación sobre la fractura y la solución provisional procede de las declaraciones atribuidas a Chanago por las crónicas, no de un diagnóstico dental independiente. El País indica que su artículo fue creado con ayuda de IA y curado por un periodista.
