The seven familiar Umbrella Academy numbers identify siblings with very different abilities: Luther has superstrength, Diego redirects moving objects, Allison influences people with a rumor, Klaus speaks with the dead, Five travels through space and time, Ben manifests a tentacled creature, and Viktor turns sound into energy. These descriptions apply to the show’s earlier timeline; after the Season 4 reset, the siblings lose their powers.
Who are the seven Hargreeves siblings?
Their familiar Umbrella Academy numbers run from Luther as Number One to Viktor as Number Seven. The numbers identify the siblings; the official descriptions do not establish them as a measured ranking of strength or power.

What can each Hargreeves sibling do?
Number One: Luther’s strength and changed body
Luther was superstrong before Reginald gave him a serum to save his life. The serum changed his body to resemble a gorilla; it is not described as the original source of his strength. Netflix Tudum’s guide distinguishes the two details.
Number Two: Diego redirects moving objects
Diego can manipulate the trajectory of moving objects, which lets him throw knives with remarkable accuracy. That is more specific than saying he controls matter generally: the described ability concerns the paths of objects already in motion. Netflix Tudum describes his power as trajectory manipulation.

Number Three: Allison changes thoughts and behavior
Allison activates her influence by saying “I heard a rumor,” then directs a person’s thoughts or behavior. The power can reach into intimate relationships: Netflix’s recap notes that she used it on her husband and daughter. It is therefore not merely a convenient trick, but an ability with serious personal consequences. Netflix Tudum’s Season 2 recap describes both the power and those uses.
Number Four: Klaus communicates with ghosts
Klaus can see and speak with the dead, with his deceased brother Ben as a central example. Netflix’s guide connects Klaus’s trauma to seeing dead people. Ben’s presence as a ghost is a consequence of his death and Klaus’s ability, distinct from Ben’s own power when alive.

Number Five: space-time manipulation and time travel
Five manipulates space-time and can travel through time. He became stranded for decades in a post-apocalyptic future, while unstable time travel left him in a teenage body. His appearance is misleading: Netflix identifies him as the oldest sibling. Netflix’s recap covers his future and time-travel history.
Number Six: Ben’s tentacled creature
In the original Umbrella timeline, Ben’s power is associated with a monstrous tentacled creature emerging from his torso. The show also presents an alternate-timeline Ben with what Netflix calls a “rumbling inner squid.” The two descriptions belong to different versions of the character, while the original Ben later appears to Klaus as a ghost.

Number Seven: Viktor converts sound into energy
Viktor converts sound waves into energy and can unleash powerful blasts. Reginald suppressed this ability with medication, so Viktor was led to believe he had no powers. Netflix describes the ability as volatile and capable of catastrophic damage. The show called the character Vanya in earlier story events; Viktor is the character’s name after the Season 3 transition. Netflix Tudum’s guide characterizes Viktor as “the strongest of the bunch,” but that is qualitative wording, not a quantified comparison.
Why do the siblings’ powers depend on the timeline?
The abilities above describe the siblings in the show’s earlier timeline, not their status after the series’ final reset. Netflix’s official synopsis says that after the Hotel Oblivion showdown and the resulting reset, the siblings are stripped of their powers. Season 4 premiered on August 8, 2024, according to Netflix Tudum’s Season 4 release guide.
