How the featured songs differ from the score album
Featured songs are performed tracks used in scenes; the original score is music composed for the film. Netflix Music released Edward Shearmur’s Uglies (Soundtrack from the Netflix Film) digitally on September 6, 2024. Apple Music’s album listing gives it 18 tracks and a duration of 46 minutes. It is the score release, not a compilation of the six featured songs above.

Uglies is a 2024 Netflix film adapted from Scott Westerfeld’s 2005 novel. Netflix’s Tudum overview describes a future society where people are offered cosmetic surgery at age 16. Director McG described the premise this way: “Basically what happens is, you’re afforded a surgery when you turn 16 years old so you can look any way you want to look.” He also said, “The film’s really about beauty as interior.” Those statements describe the film’s fictional premise and themes, not real-world medical guidance.
Rank #2
The scene guide names Edward Shearmur as composer and Rob Lowry and Tracy McKnight as music supervisors. The film’s story and soundtrack serve different purposes: the featured songs mark particular scenes, while the score album presents Shearmur’s original music without verified cue-by-cue placement.
