The collaboration was announced in a press release dated July 24, 2024, with the products expected at select retailers starting in August 2024. This is a 2024 announcement, not a 2026 launch, and the official sources reviewed do not confirm whether both flavors are still sold today.
What the two flavors are
Turkey Hill described each flavor in its announcement. These are marketing descriptions, not full ingredient declarations, so check a package for allergens and ingredients.
| Flavor | Description in the July 2024 announcement | On Turkey Hill’s current flavor listings |
|---|---|---|
| Barbie Strawberry Marshmallow | Sweet strawberry swirled with marshmallow | Listed on the “Turkey Hill New Products” and “Turkey Hill Ice Cream Flavors” pages |
| Barbie Frosted Cupcake | Cupcake flavor with Barbie-pink icing | Not listed on either page; the listing alone does not show whether the flavor was discontinued |
When and where they were released
The announcement was titled “Turkey Hill and Mattel Unveil New Barbie-Inspired Flavors.” Turkey Hill, FoodStory Brands and Mattel partnered on the two flavors, and the release tied the launch to Barbie’s 65th anniversary year, which is 2024.
The release said the products would be available at select retailers starting in August 2024. The named chains were ShopRite, ACME, Giant Eagle, Giant Carlisle, Turkey Hill Minit Markets, Weis, Wegmans, Hannaford, Food Lion and Market Basket. The announcement does not say whether each chain carried both flavors, and these chains describe the original rollout only, not current stock.

What the current listings show
Turkey Hill’s current flavor pages still include Barbie Strawberry Marshmallow, which suggests that flavor remains part of the company’s lineup at the time those pages were checked. Frosted Cupcake does not appear on those pages. That absence is consistent with a discontinued flavor, but it is also consistent with a page that was simply not updated, and the pages do not explain it. Listings also change over time, so a page check is a snapshot rather than a guarantee.
How to check whether a flavor is still available
- Open Turkey Hill Dairy’s official website and review the flavor pages for Barbie Strawberry Marshmallow and Barbie Frosted Cupcake.
- If a flavor is missing from the official pages, contact Turkey Hill Dairy customer service to ask whether it is still produced.
- For a specific store, call ahead or use the retailer’s website to check its freezer section, since stock depends on each location and the original retailers may not have carried both flavors.
