Spoilers for “Good Trouble.” Colter Shaw joins his old friend John Keaton in Tacoma to find Keaton’s missing former partner, Nat Dobbs. What begins as a missing-person search uncovers multiple bodies and a conspiracy—and ends with Keaton shot and both men in danger after their car is forced off the road.
What is “Good Trouble” about?
“Good Trouble” is the ninth episode of Tracker Season 3. CBS lists the episode at 40 minutes, rates it TV-14, and gives its air date as December 14, 2025. In CBS’s synopsis, Colter’s old friend Keaton asks him to help find a former partner; their search leads to a trail of bodies and a deeper conspiracy. The missing partner is identified in episode recaps as Nat Dobbs.
How does the search for Nat Dobbs become a murder investigation?
Colter and Keaton head to Tacoma looking for Nat. The search takes a darker turn when their investigation connects a murder to a farm, where they encounter evidence of multiple bodies. Nat’s disappearance is no longer an isolated case: the clues point toward a larger operation and people who may be trying to keep it hidden.
What conspiracy do Colter and Keaton uncover?
The trail leads toward a shell company associated with Menassian. The recaps also connect the case to Emile Lange, described by Parade as a contract killer. Possible involvement by police contacts adds another layer of suspicion, but those questions remain allegations or interpretations in the recaps, not confirmed findings about specific officials.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
What happens to Keaton at the end?
The investigation ends in a confrontation, and Keaton is shot. Colter puts getting him medical help first, but their escape becomes another attack: gunfire hits their car, which goes over an embankment or cliff. The episode cuts off with Colter and Keaton inside the wreck, both facing immediate danger.
What remains unresolved after the cliffhanger?
“Good Trouble” does not show whether Keaton survives his wound or whether either man gets out of the crashed car. The conspiracy is unresolved too: the shell-company trail and the identity and reach of anyone protecting it still need answers. CBS lists “The Fallout” as the next episode, dated March 1, 2026, so the rescue is left for the series to address later.
