Netflix brings back two factual series and launches a holiday baking competition, Disney+ revisits the Beatles with newly restored material, and MGM+ debuts a music-led interview format. There are also major scripted releases worth making room for, including the final season of Bel-Air and the latest chapter of Stranger Things.
Release times below are listed for the United States. Where a series arrives weekly rather than as a complete binge, that distinction is included.

1. Missing: Dead or Alive? Season 2 — Netflix
Available Monday, November 24
Netflix’s documentary series returns to South Carolina, where sheriff’s officers investigate urgent missing-person cases. The appeal is not a conventional crime-show mystery built around a single twist; it is the immediacy of cases that can change quickly, with investigators working through limited information, family concerns and the pressure to locate someone before a disappearance becomes even more dangerous.
Season 2 is available as a binge release, making it the strongest choice here for viewers who want a complete factual series rather than one episode per week. It also fits DocumentaryTube’s audience particularly well: the focus is on active investigations and the people carrying them out, not fictionalized reconstruction.

2. Bel-Air Season 4 — Peacock
Available Monday, November 24
The dramatic reimagining of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air begins its fourth and final season with three episodes released together on Peacock. The remaining episodes follow in two batches: Episodes 4–5 arrive December 1, and Episodes 6–8 arrive December 8.
This is a scripted selection rather than a documentary, but it is one of the week’s notable platform launches. The three-episode opening gives returning viewers enough material to re-enter the Banks family’s story while still leaving the final season structured as a short weekly event.
3. Is It Cake? Holiday — Netflix
Available Tuesday, November 25
Mikey Day hosts this holiday edition of Netflix’s deliberately deceptive baking competition. Six all-star cake artists compete for part of a $75,000 prize, producing elaborate cakes designed to look like ordinary seasonal objects. The central challenge remains simple to describe and difficult to execute: contestants must make judges question what is edible and what is not.
For documentary and factual-entertainment viewers, this is a lighter pick than the week’s investigative titles, but it works as a compact break from heavier material. The holiday setting adds a seasonal visual hook without changing the format’s emphasis on craft, judging and the contestants’ technical decisions.

Available Wednesday, November 26, at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET
Netflix’s flagship science-fiction series returns for its fifth and final season. Volume 1 contains four episodes. The remaining three episodes were scheduled for Christmas Day, with the finale set for New Year’s Eve, so this is the first part of a staged holiday rollout rather than a complete-season drop.

The release is likely to dominate general streaming conversation, but “trending” should be understood here as editorial shorthand rather than a verified chart position for this specific week. Netflix’s later reporting placed Volume 1 at 59.6 million views in its first weekly Top 10 period; that information was published on December 2 and should not be retroactively treated as a November 24–30 ranking.
If you are watching with a group, the 8 p.m. Eastern release time makes Wednesday evening the practical start point in the United States. Viewers on the West Coast get access at 5 p.m. Pacific.

5. The Beatles Anthology 2025 — Disney+
Episodes 1–3 available Wednesday, November 26, at 3 a.m. ET
This is the week’s essential music-documentary selection. The updated Beatles Anthology expands the original eight-episode documentary series to nine episodes, using restored and remastered material to revisit the band’s history and creative development.
Disney+ launches the first three episodes together, giving viewers a substantial opening section rather than a single introductory chapter. The restoration work is a major reason to watch even for people familiar with the original series: archival footage, interviews and recordings can feel materially different when presented in a newly prepared version.
The early-morning Eastern release means it is technically available before the rest of Wednesday’s major premieres. For a Beatles fan, however, this is better treated as a planned multi-hour viewing session than as background television.

6. The Mighty Nein, Episode 4 — Prime Video
New Wednesday, November 26
The Mighty Nein is not a new series premiere during this particular week. It launched on November 19, and Prime Video’s new installment is Episode 4; Episode 5 follows December 3. That timing still makes it a valid watch for the week, especially for viewers following the release as it unfolds.
The animated Critical Role series follows eight outcasts who unite after a dangerous relic threatens their world. Its appeal is rooted in ensemble fantasy storytelling and the chemistry of a mismatched group, rather than documentary realism, but its serialized format gives Prime Video a meaningful midweek entry alongside the larger Netflix and Disney+ launches.
7. It’s Florida, Man. Season 2 — HBO and HBO Max
Premieres Friday, November 28, at 10 p.m. ET/PT
The second season of HBO’s late-night comedy series arrives with a new episode on Friday and continues weekly across six episodes. It is available on the HBO cable channel and to stream on HBO Max.
The platform distinction matters: HBO is the linear television premiere outlet, while HBO Max is the streaming destination. Calling the release simply “HBO Max” misses the way the series was distributed. For viewers who enjoy documentary-style oddities, regional character studies and stories that sound too strange to be invented, the show’s Florida-centered comic perspective makes it a natural companion to more serious factual programming.

8. Words + Music — MGM+
Series premiere Sunday, November 30, at 9 p.m. ET
MGM+ closes the week with a music series built around conversations about songwriting. Artists including Elvis Costello, Sheryl Crow, John Legend and Alanis Morissette discuss the stories behind their songs and introduce new material.
The format places the creative process at the center: the interest is not only in hearing familiar tracks, but in learning what experiences, choices and emotions shaped them. That makes Words + Music a useful pick for viewers who prefer artist-led cultural documentaries and interview programs to conventional competition shows.

How to choose what to watch first
- For investigative nonfiction: Start with Missing: Dead or Alive? Season 2. It is the only pick in this group built directly around current missing-person investigations and it is available all at once.
- For music history: Choose The Beatles Anthology 2025, then follow it with Words + Music on Sunday for a more contemporary songwriter-focused perspective.
- For the biggest scripted event: Watch the four episodes of Stranger Things Volume 1 on Wednesday night, remembering that the final three episodes are held for later dates.
- For a short, low-commitment factual-entertainment option: Try Is It Cake? Holiday.
- For weekly viewing: Keep up with It’s Florida, Man. on HBO/HBO Max and The Mighty Nein on Prime Video rather than expecting complete seasons this week.

Add Stranger Things for the week’s major scripted event, and remember that Bel-Air, It’s Florida, Man. and The Mighty Nein are rolling releases rather than complete-season drops.
