As of October 8, 2026, East of Eden leads JustWatch’s U.S. chart of popular TV series across streaming services, followed by Lanterns and Ted Lasso. The list below is a dated snapshot of JustWatch user activity—not a ranking by viewing hours or total viewers—and streaming offers can change.

How does the JustWatch ranking work?
JustWatch says its charts are based on user activity over a selectable period: the last 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. Signals include clicking a streaming offer, adding a title to a watchlist, and marking it as seen. JustWatch describes its data as collected from more than 50 million movie and TV fans per month, with charts updated daily across 140 countries and 4,500 streaming services. Those are figures reported by JustWatch, not independently verified audience totals. JustWatch’s streaming-chart methodology and charts.

That makes “popular on JustWatch this week” an accurate description. It would be misleading to call these the ten most-watched series: the chart measures actions on JustWatch, not viewing hours or the number of people who watched each show.
Why this is different from Nielsen’s Top 10
Nielsen’s U.S. Top 10 uses a separate measurement and covers broadcast, cable, syndication, and live streaming. Its ranking is based on total viewers (Persons 2+) using Big Data + Panel measurement. For the week of September 28–October 4, 2026, NFL telecasts led Nielsen’s list. That broader television scope and viewer-based method make Nielsen’s chart different from JustWatch’s activity-based cross-service ranking; the two lists are not interchangeable. Nielsen’s Top 10.

What should I watch on Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV, or HBO Max?
If you already subscribe to a service, start with the titles listed there, then choose by genre, mood, and how much time you want to commit. The chart ranks popularity signals, not personal fit, and the available information here does not establish episode counts or runtimes for all ten series. Check a show’s current title page for details before settling on a series.
Netflix: East of Eden
The series is first in this snapshot. Tom’s Guide’s October 2026 schedule lists its limited-series premiere on Netflix on October 1. That release timing is useful context, but it does not explain why the show ranked first. Tom’s Guide’s October 2026 streaming schedule.

Apple TV: Ted Lasso and Slow Horses
Ted Lasso ranks third and Slow Horses fifth. Both appear in the snapshot with Apple TV offers; the chart also lists additional channel or platform options for each.

Where can I stream a specific show?
Use the title’s live JustWatch listing rather than relying on a dated chart row. Select your country or region, search for the series, and review the current offers and formats. A chart entry can show subscriptions, channel add-ons, ad-supported options, or purchase formats; those are not all the same kind of access. Search JustWatch’s U.S. TV listings.
