In the United States, sports rights are split among broadcast networks, cable channels, streaming platforms and league services. For the broadest one-service starting point, choose YouTube TV Sports Plan; choose Fubo for a sports-heavy household, Sling for targeted savings, and ESPN, Peacock or Paramount+ when you mainly follow particular competitions.
VIPBox is a search term associated with multiple unofficial domains rather than one stable, licensed product. U.S. rights-holder material identifies VIPBox-associated sites as providing links to live sports streams (USTR submission). This guide covers licensed services and official league products only. Prices and rights below are U.S.-specific and can change during a season.
Quick comparison: which legal alternative fits?
| Rank | Service | Best for | Price information | Main limitation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | YouTube TV Sports Plan | Broad live-TV sports and local networks | $64.99/month; new-user offer $54.99/month for 12 months, ending August 26, 2026 | NFL Sunday Ticket costs extra; local availability varies |
| 2 | Fubo | Sports-focused households | Current official price not stated in the supplied material; check ZIP-code lineup | Regional channels and add-ons affect the total |
| 3 | Sling TV | Budget viewers choosing specific channels | Exact current total depends on base plan and add-ons | Local coverage is limited in many markets |
| 4 | ESPN | College sports, combat sports, soccer, golf and tennis | Tier prices vary; ESPN Select and ESPN Unlimited are different products | Not every ESPN television network is in every tier |
| 5 | Peacock | Premier League and NBC sports | Premium $10.99/month or $109.99/year; Premium Plus $16.99/month | Does not replace ESPN, Fox or all regional networks |
| 6 | Paramount+ | UEFA club soccer, CBS sports and UFC programming | Current tier prices should be checked at signup | Local CBS access depends on tier and market |
| 7 | Prime Video | Specific exclusive events | Sports-specific price not stated; event availability varies | Not a complete sports hub |
| 8 | DAZN | Boxing and selected international sports | Country-specific pricing | U.S. coverage is narrower than in some countries |
| 9 | NFL+ | Dedicated NFL fans | $6.99/month or $49.99/year; Premium $14.99/month or $99.99/year | U.S.-only and not every live game on every device |
| 10 | League-specific services | Fans of one league | Varies by league and plan | Blackouts and national-game exclusions |
These are different categories, not interchangeable cable replacements. YouTube TV, Fubo and Sling are live-TV aggregators; ESPN, Peacock and Paramount+ are network or sport specialists; Prime Video is event-oriented; NFL+ and league passes are direct-to-fan products.
How the ranking was judged
The ranking prioritizes access to the games a reader actually wants rather than raw channel count. The editorial weighting is 30% sport and event coverage, 20% total cost, 15% local and national network access, 10% blackout exposure, 10% app and device experience, 10% DVR and replay, and 5% cancellation flexibility. Rights are fragmented across broadcast, cable and streaming distributors, as the FCC explains.

- TV, simplified: With setup that only takes minutes, a simple-to-navigate Home Screen, and an uncluttered remote control that does all you need—Roku makes it easier to watch the TV you love.
1. YouTube TV Sports Plan: best broad starting point
YouTube TV lists more than 30 channels, including ESPN, NFL Network, NBA TV and FS1, plus local NBC, FOX, ABC and CBS affiliates where available. The plan includes unlimited DVR, up to six household accounts, three simultaneous streams and a listed 10-day trial. The standard price is $64.99 monthly; the listed new-user promotion is $54.99 monthly for the first 12 months and ends August 26, 2026 (official details).
Watch out: local affiliates and local games depend on your market, and NFL Sunday Ticket is an additional purchase. Check your ZIP code and the exact Sunday schedule before subscribing.
2. Fubo: best for sports-heavy households
Fubo positions itself as a sports-oriented live-TV service with broad network coverage. Its comparison guide contrasts Fubo with Hulu + Live TV, Sling, Peacock and Paramount+ by use case (Fubo guide). A secondary review reported a $73.99 starting price, but that figure is not treated as a durable current quote; verify the live signup page.
Enter your ZIP code to see local and regional channels. Add-ons can materially change the recurring bill, so price the lineup containing your team rather than relying on a headline starting rate.

3. Sling TV: best targeted budget option
Sling lets viewers select a base package and add sports channels or passes rather than paying for a large bundle. Its sports page emphasizes flexible plans and schedules. This works well when you can name the exact network or event you need.
Rank #2
- 4K streaming made simple:With America’s number 1 TV streaming platform,* exploring popular apps—plus tons of free movies, shows, and live TV—is as easy as it is fun. *Based on hours streamed—Hypothesis Group
- 4K picture quality: With Roku Streaming Stick Plus, watch your favorites with brilliant 4K picture and vivid HDR color.
- Compact without compromises: Our sleek design won’t block neighboring HDMI ports, and it even powers from your TV alone, plugging into the back and staying out of sight. No wall outlet, no extra cords, no clutter.
- No more juggling remotes: Power up your TV, adjust the volume, and control your Roku device with one remote. Use your voice to quickly search, play entertainment, and more.
- Shows on the go: Take your TV to-go when traveling—without needing to log into someone else’s device.
Local channels are weaker than on full live-TV competitors, and DVR, Sports Extra and other features may cost more. Calculate the complete monthly total before calling Sling the cheapest option.
4. ESPN: best for ESPN-led sports
The ESPN service separates ESPN Select, built around ESPN+ content, from ESPN Unlimited, which includes listed networks such as ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN News, ESPN Deportes, SEC Network and ACC Network. ESPN+ offers more than 30,000 live events across college sports, international soccer, golf, tennis and combat sports. Most content can stream on up to three devices, subject to plan terms.
Do not assume ESPN Select includes every cable ESPN channel. Confirm the tier for the specific game, and remember that ESPN access may also be supplied through providers such as Hulu + Live TV and Fubo.
5. Peacock: best for Premier League and NBC sports
Peacock Premium is listed at $10.99 monthly or $109.99 annually, with advertising; Premium Plus is listed at $16.99 monthly. The service carries Premier League coverage, Sunday Night Football and other NBC sports, supports web, mobile, smart TVs, streaming devices and consoles, and lists three simultaneous devices.
Peacock is a focused complement, not a replacement for ESPN, FOX Sports or a complete regional-sports package.
Rank #3
- Stunning 4K and Dolby Vision streaming made simple: With America’s number 1 TV streaming platform,* exploring popular apps—plus tons of free movies, shows, and live TV—is as easy as it is fun. *Based on hours streamed—Hypothesis Group

- Shows on the go: Take your TV to-go when traveling—without needing to log into someone else’s device.
- Compact without compromises: Our sleek design won’t block neighboring HDMI ports, so you can switch from streaming to gaming with ease. Plus, it’s designed to stay hidden behind your TV, keeping wires neatly out of sight
6. Paramount+: best for UEFA, CBS sports and UFC content
Paramount+ promotes UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Serie A, the English Football League, NFL on CBS, selected local NFL games, UFC numbered events and Fight Nights, and PGA Tour on CBS with the Premium plan.
Check the tier and local market: national Paramount+ programming and a local CBS affiliate are not the same entitlement.
7. Prime Video: best for one exclusive event
The FCC lists Amazon Prime Video among U.S. NFL media-rights distributors (FCC report). Prime Video makes sense when you already subscribe to Prime or need a particular exclusive event. It does not provide a single schedule covering every major sport. Confirm the event page, territory and whether an extra purchase is required at the official storefront.
8. DAZN: best where its local rights are strong
DAZN specializes in boxing and selected international sports, but its catalog and price are highly territorial. NFL support directs users outside the United States to DAZN for NFL availability (NFL support). U.S. readers should inspect the U.S. schedule rather than importing another country’s package.
9. NFL+: best low-cost official NFL add-on
NFL+ is listed at $6.99 monthly or $49.99 annually; NFL+ Premium is $14.99 monthly or $99.99 annually. It is U.S.-only, and third-party billing can add fees (NFL pricing and support).
Rank #4
- Ultra-speedy streaming: Roku Ultra is 30% faster than any other Roku player, delivering a lightning-fast interface and apps that launch in a snap.
- Cinematic streaming: This TV streaming device brings the movie theater to your living room with spectacular 4K, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision picture alongside immersive Dolby Atmos audio.
- The ultimate Roku remote: The rechargeable Roku Voice Remote Pro offers backlit buttons, hands-free voice controls, and a lost remote finder.
- No more fumbling in the dark: See what you’re pressing with backlit buttons.
- Say goodbye to batteries: Keep your remote powered for months on a single charge.
Use the NFL’s current game-access table before purchase. NFL+ is not a substitute for every Sunday game on a television, and the Premium name does not remove local, device or game-window restrictions.
10. League-specific services: best for one competition
Direct league products can be the most efficient choice when one competition dominates your viewing. Official entry points include MLB.TV, NBA League Pass, NHL, MLS Season Pass and UFC Fight Pass. Availability, archives and pricing differ.
Blackouts commonly remove local games, while national broadcasts can be excluded from a league pass. Read the competition’s blackout map before paying for a season.
Best choice by sport
| Sport or competition | Starting places to check | Key restriction |
|---|---|---|
| NFL | YouTube TV, Paramount+, Prime Video, Peacock, ESPN, NFL+ | Rights differ by Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Saturday and local windows |
| NBA | YouTube TV, ESPN, broadcast partners, NBA League Pass | Local and national blackouts |
| MLB | MLB.TV and local/national broadcasters | In-market and nationally televised games may be excluded |
| NHL | Current network rights-holder and NHL resources | Verify the current regional arrangement |
| Premier League | Peacock | Competition and match availability vary by schedule |
| Champions League | Paramount+ | Plan and territory determine access |
| College sports | ESPN, YouTube TV, Fubo, Sling | Conference networks and local affiliates differ |
| Boxing | ESPN, DAZN, Prime Video and promoter platforms | Event-by-event rights and possible pay-per-view |
| UFC/MMA | ESPN services, Paramount+ where applicable, UFC Fight Pass | Numbered events, prelims and archives are separate products |
How to calculate the real monthly cost
Use base plan + required sports add-ons + event fees − temporary promotional discounts. Then add tax and account for the post-promotion renewal price. A low entry price is not the cheapest solution if it requires two add-ons, a local-channel workaround or pay-per-view events.
Checklist before subscribing
- Enter your ZIP code or location.
- Search for the exact team, league and event.
- Identify whether the game is local, national, out-of-market or blacked out.
- Confirm the required plan tier and every sports add-on.
- Check support for your television, phone, browser, console or streaming stick.
- Review simultaneous-stream limits and household rules.
- Confirm DVR, replay windows and archive restrictions.
- Check whether the event is included or pay-per-view.
- Record the renewal price after any promotion.
- Read cancellation timing and third-party billing terms.
Why official services are safer than unofficial stream aggregators
“Free” does not automatically mean illegal, and a paid IPTV subscription is not automatically licensed. Legality depends on whether the provider has rights to distribute the event in your territory. Unofficial pages can expose visitors to deceptive advertising, redirects, fake-player prompts, aggressive notifications and uncertain data practices. Avoid entering payment details on such pages, installing prompted extensions or sideloading unknown apps. Official services provide an accountable app, rights-holder authentication and a clear cancellation route.

Bottom line
Choose YouTube TV for the simplest broad U.S. package, Fubo when sports coverage justifies a larger bundle, or Sling when you can target specific channels. Add Peacock for Premier League and NBC sports, Paramount+ for Champions League and CBS sports, and an official league pass when one competition is your priority. Expect to combine services: fragmented rights, local restrictions and blackouts—not a lack of websites—are the reason one VIPBox-style destination cannot replace every game.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is VIPBox a legal sports-streaming service?
VIPBox-associated domains have been identified as sites linking to live sports streams, but the brand is not one stable, universally licensed platform. Use a broadcaster, licensed live-TV provider or official league service with rights in your territory.
Is there a free legal replacement?
Over-the-air broadcasts, free ad-supported channels and occasional official promotions can provide legitimate free viewing, but they do not guarantee every live game. Highlights and delayed replays are not substitutes for live coverage.
Can one subscription show every game?
Usually not. NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, soccer and college rights are divided among different distributors, and local or national blackouts can remove games from league passes.
