Tool delivered a visually ambitious, deep-cut-heavy show at Perth’s RAC Arena on 2 December 2025, earning PerthNow reviewer David Johns 4.5 stars out of 5. Johns reported a crowd of 14,000, though his review does not clarify whether that figure was an official attendance count or the venue’s capacity.

Production, setlist and pacing
A visual, forceful performance
Johns praised the audiovisual production and the band’s range and power. His review highlights “Rosetta Stoned,” “Pneuma” and “Jambi” among the night’s standout performances.

A set for dedicated fans
The setlist moved between deep cuts and familiar songs, with comparatively few singles, in Johns’s assessment. He found “Chocolate Chip Trip” and the Black Sabbath cover “Hand of Doom” less compelling in context. “Invincible” and “Vicarious” provided a strong finish.
Johns also felt the intermission section was comparatively flat, a judgment about the show’s pacing rather than a measured feature of the performance.

Johns reports a no-tolerance smartphone policy and quotes Tool frontman Maynard Keenan urging the audience to be present: “It’s only two hours.” The review is the source for both the policy description and the reported quote; it does not provide independent confirmation from the venue, promoter or band.

The same review reports a crowd of 14,000, but does not establish whether that was an official attendance figure or a capacity description. Its 4.5-star rating is Johns’s assessment, not an audience survey.
