CBS reported that People said Cruise supported the marriage and paid for the wedding. TMZ, reporting a day earlier, also attributed payment to anonymous sources connected with Tom and Isabella. TMZ said Cruise paid for the wedding and party at The Dorchester in London.
Was Tom Cruise banned from attending?
The available reports do not confirm that he was banned. TMZ’s sources said the couple wanted a small London wedding with a few friends and invited neither set of parents. That account describes a decision about the guest list, but does not establish that Isabella singled out or barred her father.

A conflicting account appeared in IBTimes UK, which relayed an unnamed New York Post source’s claim that the ceremony was connected to Scientology and scheduled so Cruise could not attend because of work commitments. The same report acknowledged that the couple might simply have wanted privacy. This anonymous allegation does not prove that Isabella banned him.
