Why the answer count differs between archives
Spelling Bee Buddy and WordPuzzlePro each report 66 answers and 297 points. Anagrammer reports 65 answers, and its displayed word-length breakdown also totals 65. The visible lists differ too: WordPuzzlePro includes LADE, which does not appear in Anagrammer’s displayed list. Because the archives do not agree, 66 is the count in two archives rather than a settled count across sources.

Anagrammer’s rules summary says each answer must contain the center letter, use only the seven hive letters, and have at least four letters; letters may be reused. A pangram uses all seven hive letters and earns a bonus under that summary. These rule details come from a secondary archive; an official NYT rules page was not available among the consulted sources.
