Here’s a career-focused update on these three prominent women from Sons of Anarchy—not a claim about where they live or what they do privately.
What’s new: Katey Sagal and Maggie Siff join Legends
On August 20, 2026, Variety reported that FX ordered Legends, a limited series featuring several Sons of Anarchy cast members, including Katey Sagal and Maggie Siff. The premise brings the cast together at a fan convention more than a decade after the original show, where the boundary between life and art blurs. It is a meta-series, not an eighth season following Gemma or Tara: the new story concerns the actors reuniting, rather than continuing their characters’ lives. No premiere date or release schedule was established in the announcement.
Sons of Anarchy premiered in 2008 and ran for seven seasons and nearly 100 episodes, according to Variety. FX’s original drama followed an outlaw motorcycle club; Legends is a separately ordered limited series. The announcement identifies Sagal and Siff as actors associated with the original show, but does not name de Matteo as part of Legends.
Katey Sagal: Gemma Teller Morrow and a career beyond Charming
FX identifies Katey Sagal as Gemma Teller Morrow, the formidable matriarch at the center of the club’s family life. In an October 3, 2025 retrospective, Us Weekly noted that Sagal’s work after Sons of Anarchy included The Conners, Rebel, music, and appearances in Tell Me Lies and Dead to Me. These are selected career milestones, not a complete account of her work or a current schedule. Her next shared Sons of Anarchy-related project in the reported update is Legends, where the premise has the actors appearing as themselves.

Maggie Siff: Tara Knowles-Teller and a long-running television role
Maggie Siff played Tara Knowles-Teller, whose relationship with Jax was central to the series. Us Weekly’s October 3, 2025 retrospective reports that Siff played Wendy Rhoades on Billions from 2016 to 2023 and lists later acting and producing work. Variety named her among the Legends cast in its August 20, 2026 announcement. The available career updates do not establish her private whereabouts; the meaningful update is her work, including the reported return to the Sons of Anarchy orbit in a fictionalized story about the cast.
Drea de Matteo: Wendy Case and later television work
FX identifies Drea de Matteo as Wendy Case, Jax’s ex-wife and the mother of his first-born child. After Sons of Anarchy, her television work included Shades of Blue and A Million Little Things, according to Us Weekly’s October 3, 2025 retrospective. The sources cited here do not establish a comparable 2026 shared project for de Matteo, so she should not be described as a participant in Legends.
