Yes. Marlon Wayans announced on October 29, 2024, that the Wayans brothers were returning to the franchise with a new film and an original script. He wrote, “WE’RE BACK!!! After nearly 20 years, the Wayans brothers are finally going to give the fans what they’ve been asking for… a return to the SCARY MOVIE franchise!” The brothers also said they were excited to work together again on a series they created more than 20 years earlier. Good Morning America reported the announcement.

Marlon and Shawn wrote and starred in the first two films, while Keenen Ivory directed them. Is Scary Movie 6 coming out in 2025?
No. The 2025 date referred to the reported production schedule, not the movie’s release. In July 2025, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported, citing a local crew union notice, that filming was planned to begin October 1 at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta. That specific start date was a reported plan, not a studio-confirmed production date. CBS Atlanta later reported that the movie was shot in Atlanta.
