The Christmas clip is about a child’s furious response to being told he is on Santa’s naughty list: he threatens to punch Santa’s beard off. Later coverage identifies the child as Jackson and says he was four when the incident happened. The clip was circulating by November 30, 2020, but the original uploader and first publication date have not been verified.
What happens in the video?
In the clip, a child reacts to the news that he is on the naughty list. LADbible’s later account says Jackson called Santa “not being very nice” and said he would “punch his beard off.” Those are the phrases reported by the publication, not a verified transcript from the original video. The joke is the child’s defiant escalation in response to Santa’s judgment.
The clip is also discussed under phrases such as “uppercut Santa” and “Father Christmas,” but those are search and discussion wording rather than confirmed lines from the video.
Who is the child, and how old was he?
LADbible identifies the child as Jackson and reports that he was four at the time of the incident. Its December 3, 2022 story describes the clip as a seasonal favorite that resurfaces around Christmas. Read LADbible’s account.

When did the clip first appear online?
The earliest dated evidence in the available coverage is a Reddit repost from November 30, 2020, titled “Hold my juice box while I uppercut Father Christmas.” It documents that the clip was circulating by that date; it does not establish that Reddit was the original source or that the video was first posted in 2020. A Linktree page labels a video “The Original punch Santa’s beard off video!!,” but that label alone does not verify who uploaded it or when. The original uploader, source video, and first publication date remain unconfirmed.

What happened after the clip went viral?
TUI’s 2023 Good List campaign
In 2023, TUI featured Jackson as “Chief Good List Officer” in a Good List campaign tied to a chance to win a Lapland holiday. LBB reported that Havas’ earned media agency One Green Bean created the campaign. LBB also reported findings from research conducted by TUI for the campaign: 59% said children would eat all their dinner, including green vegetables, to qualify for Santa’s good list; 52% said children would resist arguing with siblings; and 56% said children would offer to help with dinner. On Christmas wishes, 78% said an experience or holiday topped children’s wish lists, while 45% specifically dreamed of a trip to Lapland to see Father Christmas. The surfaced report does not provide sample size or methodology, so these figures should be read as campaign research findings, not universal or independently verified statistics. A Christmas card referencing the video
