The Ultimate Collection of Science Fiction Pin-Up Art is a 2013 io9/Gizmodo gallery of science-fiction-themed pin-up illustrations, not a newly published art book or a current directory of artists. The page carries an NSFW warning. Its images are individually credited, and its original note that many artists offered prints describes the situation at the time—not what is in stock today.
What the gallery is—and what it is not
Emily Stamm and Charlie Jane Anders published the gallery on November 28, 2013. It brings together pin-up imagery with science-fiction settings and motifs. The authors described the works as “sexy flights of fancy, lifted up by playfulness.”
The title’s “ultimate collection” is the framing of an editorial gallery, not evidence that it is comprehensive. It is also not a single-artist book, a catalogue of every work shown, or a reliable present-day guide to artists’ portfolios and shops.
Artists credited on the page
The gallery credits the works to the following names and handles. These are the credits as shown; a handle alone does not establish an artist’s legal name or current identity.

For attribution, use the individual credit attached to each image on the original page rather than assuming every artist made every work in the gallery.
Content warning and image use
The original page is explicitly marked NSFW. Anyone sharing or reproducing the collection should retain a clear content warning, especially where images may appear in a workplace, classroom, or public feed. The gallery’s credits identify contributors, but a credit is not the same as permission to reuse an image; the source material does not establish image-licensing terms.

Are prints or other works available now?
The 2013 article recommended visiting artists’ sites and said many had prints for sale. That is a contemporaneous note, not confirmation of current storefronts, stock, authorization, or prices. Availability must be checked individually through an artist-controlled or otherwise authorized source.

| Route | Scope and period | What it can tell you | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Alluring Art of Margaret Brundage: Queen of Pulp Pin-Up Art (2013), ISBN 1-93433-151-1 | A book focused on historical pulp artist Margaret Brundage, rather than a broad collection of science-fiction pin-up art. | A targeted route into Brundage’s work; her reference entry records 66 original Weird Tales covers. | It is not the same collection as the io9/Gizmodo gallery or a definitive survey of the whole genre. Current edition, listing, and stock are not established here. |
| Heritage Auctions’ October 17–18, 2014 illustration-art auction | Historical sales of individual illustration and pin-up works. | Heritage’s October 22, 2014 release reported $245,000 for Robert McCall’s Earth Orbit 98; $42,187 for Brundage’s The Slithering Shadow; and $68,750, $59,375, $53,125, and $50,000 for four Gil Elvgren pin-up works. | These are named historical auction results, not current valuations, a market-wide price index, or estimates for images in the gallery. |
| Frazetta Gallery Series, including the planned volume Sirens | A publisher-described collection of Frank Frazetta pin-up art within a series of officially licensed productions from the Frank Frazetta Estate and Frazetta Art Museum. | A distinct artist-focused route, if the volume has been published. | The publisher’s stated planned fall 2025 schedule has passed; actual publication and current availability are not established here. |
| Gigi Murakami’s contemporary work | A living artist whose site describes influences including horror, science fiction, vintage pulp aesthetics, and manga. | An example of overlapping genre influences in contemporary illustration; the artist’s site lists an online store. | There is no evidence here that Murakami contributed to the 2013 gallery, and current product availability is not established. |
