What is season 3 about?
The season was announced as a cold-case murder trial. As in the show’s anthology format, it would introduce a new case and twelve jurors, while following the jurors’ personal lives alongside the trial. The announcement did not name the accused or give a more detailed synopsis, so specific plot claims beyond that premise are not established by it.
What the WA production figures mean
PerthNow’s 16 September 2024 report cited released figures for season two, which filmed in WA in 2023 and aired in 2024. That production was credited with contributing $9.6 million to Western Australia’s economy and supporting more than 650 jobs.

For season three, the report projected a $10 million economic injection and anticipated a similar number of jobs. Those were forecasts, not verified final results; the article did not provide a later impact assessment or a confirmed season-three job count. It also described The Twelve as the first production to use the WA Production Attraction Incentive, a Screenwest and Western Australian government initiative intended to attract productions to the state.
