Bret Michaels said in a 2008 interview that his hair was a combination of his own hair and extensions. He also described the bandanna as part of his signature image. That statement does not establish what he wears now or whether he has ever worn a full wig.
What Bret Michaels said about his hair
In an Associated Press interview excerpt reproduced by Blabbermouth on April 14, 2008, interviewer Alicia Quarles asked Michaels what he was hiding under his bandanna. He replied: “My hair is combined of my hair and the finest extensions Europe has to offer.” Read the reproduced interview excerpts at Blabbermouth.
This is Michaels’s reported description at that time. It confirms that he said he used a combination of his own hair and extensions, but it does not specify how much was his own hair or identify an extension brand, attachment method, stylist, or product.
Why he wore the bandanna
Michaels said he sometimes performed without the bandanna, but producers wanted him to put it back on for the show. He called it his “signature thing.” His account connects the bandanna to his recognizable image; it does not establish that it concealed a full wig.

Does he wear a wig?
The 2008 statement supports a combination of his own hair and extensions, not the claim that his hair was a full wig. A 2009 Jezebel article looked at photographs from different years and concluded that the hair appeared to be a wig, but that was visual commentary, not a technical assessment or a separate confirmation from Michaels. Read the Jezebel article.
Neither photographs nor the quoted interview resolve whether Michaels has ever worn a full wig. The evidence cited here also does not establish his current hairstyle.

Is there a specific extension product he uses?
No named brand, model, or method is identified in the interview excerpt, and the official site reviewed does not identify an extension or hairpiece product. BretMichaels.com identifies itself as his official website, but that does not make any particular hair product an endorsement.
If you are recreating the visible look, a paisley bandanna is a general style accessory—not a documented exact product worn by Michaels. There is no verified hair-extension brand or retailer to recommend as his choice.
