Raife Hastings is a character in Jack Carr’s The Terminal List franchise, and Tom Hopper has already been cast to play him. Hopper is set to appear first in the prequel series The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, then in Season 2 of The Terminal List, which adapts Carr’s novel True Believer.
Who is Raife Hastings?
Raife Hastings is a character in the wider story world of Jack Carr’s The Terminal List. Carr’s casting announcement places him in both The Terminal List: Dark Wolf and the story adapted for Season 2. The available official announcements establish that connection, but do not provide a fuller biography of Raife or explain his complete role in the plot.
Who plays Raife Hastings in Season 2?
Tom Hopper is the confirmed actor. Carr announced that Hopper would join the franchise as Raife Hastings first in Dark Wolf and then in True Believer, and Amazon’s Season 2 cast announcement also lists Hopper as Raife. The casting question is settled; any discussion of who might suit the role is now a matter of personal opinion, not an open production decision.
Hopper’s introduction in Dark Wolf gives the character a screen appearance before his Season 2 role. Carr describes Dark Wolf as a Ben Edwards prequel origin story. The official podcast episode page says Carr and Hopper discuss their early test and chemistry reads, Hopper’s connection to the books, and the character’s moral tension; its description does not establish further details about their views.

How does Raife connect to The Terminal List: Dark Wolf and Season 2?
The franchise’s official framing connects Raife’s introduction in Dark Wolf to his later appearance in Season 2. Carr’s podcast page describes the prequel as laying groundwork for Season 2. That makes Dark Wolf relevant context for viewers following Raife’s screen story, without establishing exactly how his role develops from one series to the other.
What book is The Terminal List Season 2 based on?
Season 2 is based on True Believer, Carr’s second Terminal List novel. That identifies the season’s source material, but the official announcements do not specify how Raife’s television role differs from his role in the book. Readers should keep the novel’s established events distinct from details confirmed for the adaptation.
