The original Survivor Sia Prize ended in 2024: host Jeff Probst announced that Sia’s recurring personal awards were over after eight years, 14 seasons and 19 recipients, with more than $1 million awarded. A different Sia-branded prize appeared at the Survivor 50 finale in 2026: viewers chose Cirie Fields for a $100,000 Fan Favorite award.
What the Sia Prize was
The Sia Prize was money Sia personally gave to Survivor contestants who moved or impressed her. It was separate from the show’s ordinary competition prize: these awards came from the pop star, not from the game’s final vote.
How the awards began
The tradition reportedly began at the 2016 live finale of Survivor: Kaôh Rōng. Sia appeared onstage and gave contestant Tai Trang $50,000, moved by his compassion toward a chicken. In 2024, Probst recalled the moment as the origin of a distinctive relationship between the show and the singer. TV Insider’s report recounts his announcement and the prize’s history.
Why people said the Sia Prize had ended
On May 24, 2024, Probst announced that Survivor was bringing the recurring Sia Prize to an end. He described its run as eight years and 14 seasons, with 19 players receiving more than $1 million in total. Those are cumulative figures from his announcement, not a season-by-season ledger; the cited account does not establish every recipient or individual award amount.

Probst called the close “a triumphant end.” The announcement referred to the original tradition of Sia personally choosing contestants to receive money—not a permanent ban on any future award bearing her name.
