The Perfect Couple features licensed songs, cast performances and an original score. Below is an episode-by-episode guide to the songs reported in secondary cue lists, with scene descriptions and approximate timings where available. Those lists disagree on some titles, performers and placements, so disputed cues are identified rather than presented as a definitive Netflix cue sheet.
How to use this song guide
Netflix describes the 2024 drama as a six-episode story about Amelia’s wedding to a wealthy Nantucket family, disrupted by a death that makes the wedding guests suspects. The official episode titles are “Happy Wedding Eve,” “She Would Never Do That,” “The Perfect Family,” “Someone Could Get Hurt,” “Never Gonna Give You Up,” and “That Feels Better.”

The timings below come from Vague Visages, a secondary soundtrack guide, and are elapsed-time navigation aids rather than an official Netflix cue sheet. EpicDope lists additional or different cues in several episodes. A song not listed by one guide may still be audible; for example, “no featured songs” means that Vague Visages lists none for that episode, not that the episode contains no music.
Episode 1: “Happy Wedding Eve”
Vague Visages lists four songs, with approximate elapsed times and scenes:
Recommended Free Tools
#1 Best Overall
- Ultimate...2000s
- “Nantucket Island” — Willie Wright (00:00): opening sequence and Nantucket montage.
- “Young Hearts” — Block & Crown & Lissat (00:01): home-video sequence and transition.
- “Sunshine” — Tensnake & Panama (00:32): conversation between Merritt and Amelia and related scenes.
- “You Sexy Thing” — Hot Chocolate (00:45): transition and party scene.
The “Young Hearts” credit is unresolved. EpicDope instead lists “Young Hearts” by Candi Staton and “Do You Feel It?” by NRBQ. Universal Music Publishing Group confirms a Candi Staton song in the series, but gives its full title as “Young Hearts Run Free”; that does not by itself establish that it is the same cue as the “Young Hearts” entry in either guide. EpicDope also describes Meghan Trainor’s “Criminals” over the title sequence, while Vague Visages does not list it for this episode.
Episode 2: “She Would Never Do That”
Vague Visages lists no featured songs for this episode. EpicDope names two cues: Meghan Trainor’s “Criminals” during the title sequence and Diemonsterdie’s “Coco Bongo” in a bar scene. The title-sequence placement conflicts with the opening-dance account from Netflix Tudum, which says the dance was moved into the opening credits; the available episode guides do not establish a definitive episode-specific cue list.
Episode 3: “The Perfect Family”
Vague Visages lists these songs with approximate timings:
Rank #2
- KPop Demon Hunters, a Netflix film from Sony Pictures Animation, follows K-pop superstars Rumi, Mira and Zoey
- “Offering” — Gabriels (00:00).
- “Bleeding Me Dry — A COLORS SHOW” — Alicia Creti (00:10).
- “Greatest Love of All” — Cast (00:20).
EpicDope adds “Cry to Me” — Solomon Burke, “Float” — Janelle Monáe featuring Sean Kuti & Egypt 80, “What More Can I Say” — Teddy Swims, “Celebrate” — Anderson .Paak, “Brazil” — Django Reinhardt, and “Criminals” — Meghan Trainor. These extra cues are not corroborated by the other episode guide, so treat them as reported rather than confirmed placements.
Episode 4: “Someone Could Get Hurt”
Vague Visages lists “Sir Duke” — Stevie Wonder (00:30) and “Big Mouth USA” — Jim Ford (00:35). EpicDope also names “Live My Life” — Robert W. Lamond and places “Sir Duke” during a party confrontation. The guides therefore differ both on the number of reported songs and on the scene description for “Sir Duke.”
Episode 5: “Never Gonna Give You Up”
Vague Visages lists five cues:
- “All by Myself” — Cast (00:03), in the context of Tag singing at the police station.
- “Summer Breeze” — Seals & Crofts (00:18).
- “Greatest Love of All” — Cast (00:36), in the context of a book event.
- “Never Gonna Give You Up” — Cast (00:39).
- “The Stars and Stripes Forever” — John Philip Sousa (00:39).
EpicDope attributes “All By Myself” to Eric Carmen rather than the Cast, and also lists “Sir Duke” at the book party. These are version and placement differences between secondary guides; the available cue lists do not settle them.
Episode 6: “That Feels Better”
Vague Visages lists “Never Gonna Give You Up” — Cast (00:01), “The Stars and Stripes Forever” — John Philip Sousa (00:01), and “Criminals” — Meghan Trainor (00:59). EpicDope instead identifies Rick Astley’s original “Never Gonna Give You Up” in a scene where Greer watches a video of Tag, and gives a different scene description for Sousa’s march.
Netflix Tudum confirms that the cast dance appears in the opening credits and reports that director Susanne Bier joined the dance footage shown after the Episode 6 credits. Bier says the sequence was first planned as an Episode 5 nightmare, then moved to the opening. She connects the repeated lyric “Call us criminals, criminals” to the show’s question of who is guilty. Netflix describes the dance’s playful, heightened tone as part of the series’ appeal, not as a song-by-song episode cue sheet.

Universal Music Publishing Group reported seven songs from its catalog in the series. Its list, published September 18, 2024 and updated May 25, 2026, is a publisher-specific selection—not a complete soundtrack listing:

- Barry Biggs — “Don’t Let The Sun (Catch You Crying)”
- Sabrina Carpenter — “Feather”

The publisher confirms these songs appear in the series, but its list does not specify episode, scene or timing. In particular, it does not resolve the differing episode-guide credits for “Young Hearts.”
