No. The Paramount+ Black Friday promotion offering Essential or Premium for $2.99 per month for two months is no longer available as of August 16–18, 2026. Deal coverage reported a December 2, 2025 expiration date, so old search results and screenshots are historical—not a current checkout offer. Paramount’s U.S. signup page now lists standard pricing.

What the expired Black Friday offer included
The 2025 promotion reduced either the monthly Essential plan or the monthly Premium plan to $2.99 per month for the first two months. It was intended for eligible new and returning/former subscribers, with eligibility potentially varying by account history, billing platform and location. The offer applied to monthly subscriptions, not annual billing. Deal coverage reported that it ended on December 2, 2025 (TechRadar; Engadget).
The subscription did not automatically stop after two discounted months. The official Xumo support listing says it renewed at the then-current regular monthly price unless canceled (Xumo support). A later $0.99-per-month-for-two-months promotion also ended, on June 25, 2026 (Paramount+).

Essential vs. Premium: which plan fits?
Choose Essential for the lowest ongoing cost
- You mainly want Paramount originals, CBS shows, movies, sports or children’s programming.
- You accept advertising and do not need offline downloads.
- You do not need live CBS through the Premium tier or the complete SHOWTIME catalog.
Essential remains the practical choice for occasional or price-sensitive viewers. Live programming can still contain advertising.

Choose Premium for downloads, live CBS and fuller access
- You want downloads for offline viewing.
- You need live CBS or the full SHOWTIME offering.
- You have compatible equipment and care about supported 4K or HDR titles.
- You watch often enough to justify paying $5 more per month than Essential.
“Ad-free” does not mean every moment is commercial-free: live television contains ads, and Paramount notes that trailers, sponsorships or similar promotional material may still appear. 4K and HDR depend on the title, device and connection.
How to verify a future Paramount+ promotion
- Open Paramount’s official signup page rather than an old deal article: paramountplus.com/account/signup/createaccount/.
- Select the plan and billing period you actually want.
- Confirm that checkout displays the promotional price before entering payment details.
- Read the eligibility rule, expiration date, taxes and post-promotion renewal price.
- Save the terms or take a screenshot, then set a reminder before the discounted period ends.
If checkout shows only $8.99 or $13.99 per month, or shows a different promotion, the old $2.99 offer is not being applied. A Paramount.com deal may also be unavailable when you subscribe through Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon, Xumo or another billing provider.

How to prevent an unwanted renewal
The Black Friday offer converted to recurring billing unless canceled. Cancel through the same company that processed the subscription—Paramount+ itself or the relevant app store, device provider or other billing platform. Do not assume canceling in one account cancels a subscription billed elsewhere.
- Check the account or billing receipt to identify the provider.
- Cancel before the next charge according to that provider’s terms.
- Keep the confirmation email or an account-screen record.
- Do not assume cancellation immediately removes access; access may continue through the paid period.
Is Paramount+ worth paying for without the deal?
Essential is the better fit when you want specific Paramount content at the lowest recurring price and can tolerate ads. Premium is more suitable for frequent viewers who need downloads, live CBS, all SHOWTIME content or supported 4K/HDR playback. Premium annual billing lowers the effective monthly cost compared with twelve $13.99 payments, but it requires paying $139.99 upfront and makes most sense if you expect to keep the service for roughly a year.
