Is Season 4 the final season?
Yes. Netflix has confirmed that Season 4 will conclude the series. When announcing the season in May 2026, creator and showrunner Shawn Ryan said he had been “obsessed with eventually delivering a proper and thrilling conclusion to the show and to Peter Sutherland’s journey.” The September update describes the upcoming story as Peter’s last mission.
What could Season 4 be about?
The official setup grows out of Season 3’s ending: Peter tells Agent Aiden Mosley he intends to take a break, and Mosley raises the possibility of a partner. Ryan said that partner tease was “meant to be a launching pad for Season 4.” Netflix has not released a full plot synopsis, so the partner’s identity or the details of Peter’s next mission should not be treated as confirmed.

For context, Season 3’s ten episodes became available on February 19, 2026. Netflix describes the series as an adaptation of Matthew Quirk’s novel The Night Agent; the novel is the source material for the show, not a Season 4 tie-in. Netflix’s series explainer covers the premise and adaptation.
Who is in the Season 4 cast?
Netflix’s announcements identify seven new Season 4 cast members. The September 30, 2026 update added the first three in the table below; the other four had been announced earlier.
