DoorDash’s top-ordered Easter candy nationwide for its 2025 observation period was Reese’s Pieces. In its state results, Reese’s Peanut Butter Bunnies were the uniquely popular leader in 35 states. Those are DoorDash order-data findings—not a poll of what every American prefers.
DoorDash’s national Easter candy pick
DoorDash named Reese’s Pieces its top Easter candy nationwide based on orders placed from April 7–20, 2025, the two-week period ending on Easter. The company published the results on March 10, 2026. DoorDash’s report measures orders on its platform during that window; it is not a representative survey of consumer preferences or a census of candy sales across retailers.
The national winner and the state leaders are different kinds of results. Reese’s Pieces ranked first nationwide, while DoorDash described state-level winners as items that “uniquely over-index.” Its release provides counts for those groups, but not a complete state-by-state list in the text.
Which candy was the uniquely popular leader in each state?
DoorDash’s published counts cover all 50 states:
| DoorDash state leader | Number of states |
|---|---|
| Reese’s Peanut Butter Bunnies | 35 |
| Reese’s Pieces Easter Candy Gift Bag | 7 |
| Kinder Joy Eggs | 4 |
| Haribo Sour Easter Grass | 3 |
| Lindt Dark Chocolate Gold Bunny | 1: New Mexico |
These counts identify which item DoorDash says was uniquely popular in a given number of states; they do not establish that residents of those states universally favor that candy. Because the release does not state every assignment, the remaining state-to-candy pairings should not be inferred from the counts alone.

Why other Easter candy rankings name different winners
A candy can lead one ranking and not another because the sources measure different behavior over different periods. Instacart purchase data put Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs first nationally for Easter weekend 2024, according to Axios. Google search results, by contrast, showed Peeps as the top-searched Easter candy in 35 states in April 2025. Searches indicate interest, not purchases, and neither result is interchangeable with DoorDash’s 2025 ordering data.
