This retrospective focuses on four widely recognizable examples whose physiques and larger-than-life presentation helped define different eras: Hulk Hogan, the Ultimate Warrior, John Cena, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Their current stories differ sharply: Hogan and Warrior have died, Cena retired from in-ring competition at the end of 2025, and Johnson returned for a major WWE event in 2024.
What “most jacked” means in this retrospective
Wrestling has long made physique part of its visual storytelling, but there is no shared measurement or authoritative ranking that establishes who was objectively the most muscular. The selection here is editorial rather than scientific: these four performers became especially recognizable for muscular builds and the ways they presented themselves to audiences.
That framing does not make a claim about anyone’s health, training methods, drug use, or athletic superiority. The available biographical and historical sources establish career milestones and public personas, not a basis for drawing those conclusions.
Hulk Hogan: the larger-than-life star who died in 2025
Hulk Hogan, born Terry Gene Bollea, became one of wrestling’s defining stars through a combination of size, charisma, and a highly recognizable persona. WWE’s notice of his death describes his career and places him at the center of major WrestleMania moments. It records 93,173 fans at WrestleMania III, where Hogan faced André the Giant, and more than 75,000 at WrestleMania 30, with millions more watching the first WrestleMania broadcast live on WWE Network. These are figures reported by WWE in its 2025 notice, not independent attendance estimates. WWE’s announcement and career retrospective also notes his six WWE Championships.

Where is Hulk Hogan now?
Hogan died on July 24, 2025. WWE published its announcement that day. His story is therefore a legacy rather than a current wrestling or entertainment schedule.
The Ultimate Warrior: a vivid persona with a short final chapter
The Ultimate Warrior stood apart through a comic-book physique, face paint, neon colors, and an explosive entrance. His visual style made him a memorable rival and counterpart to Hogan, including at WrestleMania VI. WWE’s biography rounds the event’s attendance to 67,000; the Associated Press reports 67,678 for the Hogan–Warrior match. Those are different published figures, so they should not be treated as interchangeable. WWE’s Ultimate Warrior biography details his career and induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.

John Cena: from muscular main-event star to retired in-ring competitor

Where is John Cena now?
As of WWE’s current profile accessed October 8, 2026, Cena is retired from in-ring competition. That does not mean his public career ended: WWE’s biography also describes his acting work. The source establishes his retirement from wrestling matches, not a specific future schedule of appearances.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson: a 2024 return, not evidence of a regular schedule
Dwayne Johnson moved from wrestling stardom into a major film and television career, while retaining a place in WWE history. WWE’s biography lists eight WWE Championships and records his return to the ring at WrestleMania XL in 2024. WWE’s profile of The Rock supports those career points.

Why physique is only part of the story
These performers are remembered not simply for being muscular, but for how they turned a distinctive look into a recognizable character. Hogan’s charisma helped anchor an era of mainstream wrestling, while Warrior made visual intensity part of his appeal. Cena and Johnson carried wrestling fame into film and television, though their current in-ring status differs: Cena’s retirement is stated by WWE, whereas WWE’s Johnson profile records a major return without establishing an ongoing schedule.
