The series behind the headline is The Mighty Nein, Critical Role’s animated adaptation of its second tabletop campaign. Season 1 has eight episodes, and Critical Role says they are available on Prime Video. The show’s strong chart and review figures reported in November 2025 are historical snapshots—not evidence of its current ranking or scores.
What is the Dungeons & Dragons series on Prime Video?
The Mighty Nein is an animated series from Critical Role, adapted from the group’s second tabletop campaign. It is rooted in a Dungeons & Dragons campaign, but it is not a direct adaptation of a D&D rulebook or official D&D fiction. Critical Role identifies the show’s source as Campaign 2: The Mighty Nein, whose adventurers begin as self-interested outsiders and become involved in helping ordinary people amid political unrest between two powerful countries.
What is The Mighty Nein about?
The story brings together fugitives, outcasts, criminals, and misfits. Their lives become entangled with a dangerous arcane relic called the Beacon, which can reshape reality and has fallen into the wrong hands. The premise sets a ragtag party against a threat to the continent, while leaving room for the characters’ secrets and histories to shape their alliances.
Critical Role introduced the series as a story of “outcasts, criminals and misfits” drawn into saving the continent when the relic falls into dangerous hands. Read the November 17, 2025 schedule and the official animated-series page for the show description.

Is The Mighty Nein still topping Prime Video charts?
Current chart status is not established by the figures behind the headline. In an article published November 26, 2025, BGR said the series had occupied top-two, top-three, and top-four positions “for the month of November.” That describes a November 2025 chart snapshot, not a current ranking; the article does not establish the chart methodology or time window behind those positions. BGR’s report is the source for the claim.
