The Merry Gentlemen stars Britt Robertson as Ashley, a former dancer who stages a Christmas revue to help save her family’s nightclub, and Chad Michael Murray as Luke, a contractor who joins the show. Here’s who plays the featured characters, plus the extra names credited in a secondary cast listing.
Who is in The Merry Gentlemen?
Netflix Tudum’s featured cast guide pairs these performers with their roles. Ashley’s family venue, the Rhythm Room, is at the center of the story in the small town of Sycamore Creek.
| Actor | Character | Role in the story |
|---|---|---|
| Britt Robertson | Ashley | A former big-city dancer who organizes a Christmas revue at her family’s venue. |
| Chad Michael Murray | Luke | A contractor who helps Ashley’s family and becomes the revue’s lead performer. Tudum describes him as “kind, confident, and slightly sarcastic.” |
| Marla Sokoloff | Marie | Featured cast member; Tudum’s cast guide names the role. |
| Beth Broderick | Lily | Featured cast member; Tudum’s cast guide names the role. |
| Michael Gross | Stan | Featured cast member; Tudum’s cast guide names the role. |
| Maxwell Caulfield | Danny | Featured cast member; Tudum’s cast guide names the role. |
| Hector David Jr. | Ricky | Featured cast member in Tudum’s guide. Netflix’s title page displays the name “Hector Rivera Jr.”; the two listings are not enough to treat that difference as a confirmed identity correction. |
| Colt Prattes | Troy | The bartender, according to Tudum’s story description. |
| Marc Anthony Samuel | Rodger | Ashley’s brother-in-law, according to Tudum. |
| Maria Canals-Barrera | Denise | The Rhythm Room’s landlord, who is prepared to close the club and turn it into a juice bar. |
Netflix’s title page displays a cast list that includes these performers, with Hector Rivera Jr. in place of the name used in Tudum’s guide. Its retrieved page does not pair the actors with character names.
What is the film about?
The Merry Gentlemen is a 2024 Netflix comedy described by Tudum as a holiday romantic comedy. Ashley returns from New York after her dancing work ends and tries to save her parents’ small-town nightclub, the Rhythm Room, by staging an all-male Christmas revue. Robertson told Tudum that Ashley combines her dancing and choreography skills with “some hot dudes at the bar” to make the show.
