In 2025, LADbible reported that he later developed Tocotoco Zoo, a visitor experience where people can wear animal costumes. The zoo is not a conventional animal park, and its reported launch-era price is not confirmed as current.
How Toco became a collie
LADbible reported that Toco commissioned a realistic collie costume in 2023. It took 40 days to make, and the publication described the cost as about £11,000. That figure is a reported amount, not an independently verified invoice; the important distinction is that this was a custom suit made for Toco, not an off-the-shelf outfit.
The same report connected the project to Toco’s childhood dream of becoming an animal. The transformation is visual and costume-based: he appears as a collie while wearing the suit. It is not a literal or surgical transformation. LADbible’s February 2, 2025 report is the source for the story’s account and figures.
What Tocotoco Zoo offers
Tocotoco Zoo extends the idea into a costume experience for visitors. LADbible described guests wearing an Alaskan Malamute costume. The wording about people becoming animals is promotional shorthand: participants wear a costume rather than encountering a physical transformation or visiting a zoo of live animals.

- First Try-On and Sight: The full-head German Shepherd mask leaves space around the head for easier removal. Try it on before the event to check sight through the openings, then trim carefully only when necessary
- Care for Natural Latex: Natural latex gives the German Shepherd mask its flexible costume form. A latex odor may be present after opening; wash gently with soap and water, then let the mask air out before use
- Working-Dog Spirit: The German Shepherd brings a steady, alert canine presence with a touch of the loyal and determined spirit often associated with working dogs
- Halloween, Stage and Photo Scenes: The German Shepherd can join costume parties, group photos, stage skits, performances and other character-focused events
- Dog Role without a Full Costume Change: The German Shepherd character appears with the mask, and removing it lets the wearer move straight into the next part of the occasion without resetting the whole look
The official access page says Tocotoco Zoo has no fixed store and rents spaces as needed. It directs visitors to the reservation page for details. This means the access information matters: check the official booking information before planning a visit rather than assuming there is a permanent storefront at a particular address.
What the reported price and duration do—and do not—tell you
LADbible’s February 2025 article gave launch-era terms of ¥49,000 for 180 minutes, a reported height range of 4 ft 11 in to 5 ft 11 in, and the option to reserve up to 30 days ahead. Those are historical terms reported at the time, not verified current prices, session lengths, eligibility rules, or booking windows. The official site has a standard Alaskan Malamute plan page, but the available page information does not establish current booking details. Check the live reservation page for the terms that apply to your visit.

What the story is really about
Toco’s custom collie suit and the visitor experience share a premise—using a costume to explore an animal identity—but they should not be treated as the same product. His suit was reportedly commissioned and tailored to him. The zoo offers a visitor costume experience, and the available information does not establish that guests wear Toco’s personal suit or a suit made to the same specifications.
The appeal is the unusual gap between appearance and reality: a person can look strikingly like an animal while still being inside a costume. That distinction keeps the headline’s “become a dog” phrasing in perspective and explains why Tocotoco Zoo is better understood as an immersive costume activity than as a conventional zoo.
