The Guest is a four-episode British drama-thriller about Ria, a cleaner whose relationship with her wealthy employer, Fran, grows dangerous. Gabrielle Creevy plays Ria and Eve Myles plays Fran. The series premiered in the UK on BBC One in September 2025, with a U.S. Paramount+ debut announced for October 2025. Those launch details do not confirm where it is streaming now; availability depends on your region and can change.
Which series is The Guest?
This is the 2025 British series created by writer Matthew Barry, not the separate Colombian series that shares its title. If a catalog result describes a different cast or premise, look for Ria and Fran, or for Eve Myles and Gabrielle Creevy, to identify the British drama. Apple TV identifies the United Kingdom as its region of origin.
What is The Guest about?
Ria, played by Gabrielle Creevy, works as a cleaner when she is hired by Fran, a wealthy businesswoman played by Eve Myles. What begins as an employer-and-worker relationship becomes increasingly intense and entangled with a death and police attention. The premise sets up a thriller about influence, trust and the consequences of getting drawn into someone else’s life.
How many episodes are in Season 1?
Season 1 has four episodes. Apple TV lists runtimes of 58 to 59 minutes; its episode descriptions are brief and include later-story developments, so the guide below keeps them concise.

Where can you watch The Guest?
The confirmed platform information is historical launch information, not a guarantee of current availability. In the UK, the series premiered on BBC One on 1 September 2025, and BBC iPlayer was identified as a UK launch service. In the U.S., Paramount+ announced a streaming debut for 17 October 2025 and an on-air debut on Paramount+ with SHOWTIME for 19 October 2025. Check the service catalog for your country before subscribing or searching for all four episodes; streaming rights and listings can change.
The U.S. Apple TV catalog page labels the series TV-MA and lists English audio. That information describes the U.S. listing, not necessarily every regional catalog.

How to distinguish it from the Colombian The Guest
Because the title is shared, a search may return Netflix’s Colombian series rather than this British drama. The British show follows Ria and Fran and stars Creevy and Myles; the Colombian title is a separate production, not another season or version of this story. Netflix’s official catalog page is for the Colombian series, while Apple TV’s U.S. listing identifies the British series described here.
