The filing contained allegations, not court findings. The case was later dismissed without prejudice, a procedural outcome that did not determine whether the allegations were true.
What producers reportedly changed
Ramirez was a contestant on Joan Vassos’s first season of The Golden Bachelorette. TVLine reported that a source close to production said producers further edited his limited screen time and minimized his use in promotional assets after the filing surfaced. TV Insider repeated that account. Neither outlet gave a figure for how much screen time was removed or established that Ramirez was cut from every later episode or promotion.

The explanation came from unnamed sources, not from a named ABC spokesperson. TVLine and Us Weekly reported that the filing arose in the interval after background checks or vetting were completed but before filming began. TVLine’s source characterized that interval as brief.
What the former girlfriend’s filing alleged
TVLine’s September 20, 2024 report summarized a June filing by a former girlfriend, who sought a temporary restraining order against Ramirez. The filing alleged repeated contact and harassment, including a claim of “25 attempts daily via phone, texts, video.” That number is the former girlfriend’s allegation as reported by TVLine; it is not an independently verified count or a court finding. The allegations should not be treated as established conduct or as evidence of a criminal conviction.

TVLine reported that the temporary order was granted and extended before the case was dismissed. For its account of the filing and production response, see TVLine’s report.
How the case ended
Us Weekly reported that the civil case was dismissed without prejudice for lack of prosecution and lack of service, after which the temporary order was dropped. TV Insider also reported the order was dropped. A dismissal without prejudice on those procedural grounds does not decide the merits of the claims; it is not a ruling that the allegations were true or false.

The available reporting does not establish that he was fully edited out. TV Insider said Ramirez appeared briefly in the September 18, 2024 premiere and received a rose. The reports describe a further reduction in an already limited role and less prominence in promotional material, but do not quantify the edit or confirm what happened to every subsequent appearance.
