The G is a Canadian crime thriller about Ann Hunter, a woman whose corrupt legal guardian takes her home and assets. Starring Dale Dickey as Ann and Romane Denis as her granddaughter Emma, the film follows their fight back. This is Karl R. Hearne’s feature film—not one of the unrelated meanings of “the G.”
What is The G about?
Ann Hunter and her husband retire near their family, but a corrupt legal guardian takes them from their home, strips their assets and places them in an eldercare facility. Ann and her granddaughter Emma then fight back. That is the film’s fictional premise, as summarized by distributor Dark Sky Films.

The story centers on abuse of power and the relationship between Ann and Emma. Its plot should not be taken as evidence about how common guardianship abuse, elder fraud or care-facility misconduct is; the film sources do not establish prevalence.
